Two Survivors [Lara Croft x Male Reader]

A Bridge Too Far

"No... Grim... I'll make them pay." Lara remarked as she looked to Y/N who was still silent for a few seconds before he spoke.

"The Palace... we've got to get to the palace." Y/N said as he pointed at the palace in the distance. The Pair of them climbed across the gap over the abyss, making their way onto another platform before starting to climb the platform to the next floor. They saw a rope stretching over a large gap, with a small rockface on the other side. There was a small metal pillar sticking out at the middle of the gap from the framework that made up the platform. As Lara climbed onto the rope and started climbing across Y/N used his whip to swing across to the other side.

Y/N managed to reach the other side of the gap and turned to see mercenaries arrive while Lara was climbing up the rope.

"Hey, come on, there she is! Cut the line! And someone shoot him." One Merc called out.

"I'm on it!" Another said as he approached the rope Lara was climbing across with a machete. Y/N drew his revolver but was tackled from behind by a mercenary who dragged him backwards, Y/N went with them, gaining speed until they hit the mountain face.

The merc with the machete cut the rope Lara was on, sending her swinging into the side of the mountain, she used her axe to hold onto the side of the rock wall as she hit her head on the mountain, causing her to become dazed for a few seconds, lucky her hands had a small band around them keeping them on the axe.

She was brought back to consciousness by an arrow hitting the rock wall next to her, Lara looked up at a mercenary with a bow taking aim at her. 

"I got her!" The Merc with the bow said before a sniper bullet went straight through his neck, sending him to the floor dead.

"Shit!" The other Merc said before he too was shot in the head.

Meanwhile, above Lara, Y/N and a Mercenary were wrestling on the floor with Y/N being pinned down and beaten, the Mercenary laughed until he looked at Y/N who was holding a rock in his hand, Y/N smashed the rock into the mercs head before standing up and beating them to a bloodied pulp. He stood up as the Merc struggled to their feet, Y/N grabbed his dropped revolver and turned, walking towards the merc.

"She's gone boy, you hear, your little bitch is gon-" Y/N interrupted him by shooting the Merc in the head.

"Shut up." Y/N said.
