Signs of Life

Y/N looked down at his wound for a moment before Lara spoke.

"Come on. Okay, take it slow." Lara said as Y/N nodded before standing up, they both walked along the path for a few minutes before finding a tree that had fallen across a large gap.

"Okay, take it slow.." Lara told Y/N who got onto his hands and knees to crawl across while Lara walked across, balancing on the tree. Lara made it across and turned to see Y/N's arm buckle, he fell off of the side of the tree and managed to catch it in time, his feet dangling from the tree. "Oh god!"

Y/N saw Lara approach before she lay down on the tree and helped him up, the pair of them making their way across this time.

"That... that was close." Y/N said as Lara nodded. "Thanks."

Croft simply smiled at him kindly before helping him to his feet.

"Come on, we've got to keep going, at least find some shelter before night time." Lara remarked as Y/N nodded.

They continued along the path until they reached a small gap they had to jump over, Lara went first before Y/N made the jump, catching the ledge with his hands, Lara helped him up.

"Fuck, this wounds making this impossible." Y/N remarked as Lara nodded.

"I'm not leaving you behind Y/N." Lara said. "Come on."

Y/N sighed and climbed to his feet once more. They both continued their walk for a few more minutes until they found a large waterfall with a crashed bomber plane hanging from it

"Huh? Okay... I can do this. Come on... Come on." Lara said as Y/N looked at it and realised the truth.

"Lara, look at me, there's no way in hell I can climb that in this state-"

"Y/N, I'm not leaving you." Lara stated.

"Then how the fuck am I climbing that?" Y/N said as Lara looked at him for a moment before looking at the plane.

"Just stay here, I'll find a way for you to cross." Lara said before she started climbing up the frame of the cockpit of the plane before climbing up onto the wing, having to shimmy across the wing, climbing onto the other side of the large gap the plane came loose and fell to the point where it now served as a bridge for Y/N.

"Do not pretend that you meant that." Y/N said, earning a laugh from Lara.

"Well, one doesn't like to boast." Lara said as Y/N stepped onto the plane wing, he started making his way across it when he felt it start moving.

"Crap." Y/N muttered before he started to run across the wing, practically running up the wing as it turned into a ramp and jumping just as it fell, landing and rolling as he stood up.

"Are you okay?" Lara asked as Y/N looked up at her.

"Next year... I pick the group holiday destination." Y/N said as Lara smiled at him.

"Deal." Lara said as she helped him onto his feet. "Come on."

After a few moments of walking the pair found some scattered things on the ground.

"Sam's pack! Sam! They must have come this way... " Lara surmised as she looked at the bag grabbing some bandages and a Two way radio. "You give it a go while I'm fixing you up."

Lara handed Y/N the radio and Y/N started speaking into it as Lara applied the bandages.

"Sam?! Roth? Can anyone hear me?" Y/N said into the radio, but there was nothing but static. "We've got to find them..."
