I awoke and immediately felt strange. Sneaking out of the house, I decided against saying thank you to Regina's mom. Today, I couldn't deal with Regina and the potential aftermath of the night's events.Hey, where were you?" I lied straight to my sister, claiming I was at Olivia's. She took it without asking any questions.
"Tell me what happened," she urged.
"Nuh-uh, I never kiss and tell," I replied, my tone then becoming more sincere. "Listen sis, I think Regina and Aaron may already be exclusive. Are you okay?"
Cady's expression shifted, a mix of surprise and realization. "What? No way. That's so fast."
"Yeah, it seems like they're moving quickly. Just wanted to give you a heads up," I said, concern evident in my voice.
Cady took a moment to process the information. "Thanks for telling me. I'll figure things out." The look I got from my sister, however, was like nothing I had ever seen before. Cady was out for revenge.
I furrowed my brows, concern evident in my eyes. "Cady, revenge? Are you sure that's the way to go?"
She shot me a determined look. "Y/n, Regina's been playing games since day one. It's about time someone gave her a taste of her own medicine."
I sighed, understanding my sister's frustration but wary of the potential fallout. "Just be careful, okay? Revenge can be a double-edged sword."
Cady nodded, a steely resolve in her gaze. "I know what I'm doing. Regina won't see it coming."
That Monday, after the eventful Halloween weekend, I felt refreshed, even though the knowledge that I would have to see Regina put a damper on my mood.
It seemed like she had seamlessly embraced the role of an ass-kisser to her royal highness. Regardless of any desire for revenge I might harbour, I couldn't fathom aligning myself so closely with Regina.
Feeling all fine and dandy, I was heading over to my next class, Science, when I was abruptly and unceremoniously dragged into the janitor's closet.
"Give me back my clothes," the snarky tone made it evident who it was. "No 'hello, how are you'?" I questioned."Hi, I don't care how you are, nerd. I just want my belongings back. If you don't, it just proves my suspicions," came the dismissive reply
Oh, and what are these supposed suspicions then, blondie?" I asked, playing along with Regina's theatrics. The confined space of the janitor's closet seemed to amplify the tension between us,
The tension between us hung in the air, and Regina broke it with an unexpected declaration. "You have a crush on me," she affirmed confidently.
I couldn't help but burst into laughter, genuinely amused by her bold assumption. "If I had a crush on you, it would be the eighth wonder of the world"
Regina's smirk faltered for a moment, unsure of how to respond. "Well, I am quite wondrous, so who could blame you?"
I couldn't hold back a chuckle. "Regina, I don't think even the pyramids could compete with your ego."
"You little..." I heard the faintest sound near the door. Reacting swiftly, I took action. No way was I going to be caught in this janitor's room with Regina and risk a more embarrassing situation.I pushed her into the darker corner of the storage cupboard, placing my hand over her mouth as she wouldn't shut up. The door suddenly opened, but I couldn't focus on that, not when I was pressed body to body with Regina George. The close proximity sent a shiver down my spine, and for a moment, the world outside the janitor's closet faded away.
Regina's eyes widened with surprise, and the initial annoyance turned into a mix of confusion and curiosity. The unexpected turn of events seemed to have momentarily silenced her, and I took the opportunity to whisper sharply, "Not a word."
the janitor exited, but my attention remained fixated on someone else, preventing me from noticing his departure. Suddenly, my hand felt wet, and I recoiled, realizing Regina had licked it.
"Did you just lick me?" I exclaimed, wiping my licked hand down her sleeve. "This was expensive, how dare you, bitc—"
"Aww, will daddy not buy you a new one?" I taunted. Regina's fury intensified, and without exchanging any more words, she made a move to tackle me. Due to the darkness, I couldn't prepare myself in time, and I instantly fell backward, the unexpected collision taking me by surprise. The cramped space of the storage cupboard suddenly felt even more confining as Regina and I grappled with each other in an impromptu struggle.
And there we were, Regina George on top of me.What surprised me, though, is that she didn't immediately make a move to get up. The darkness concealed the expressions on both our faces, but the palpable tension between us seemed to have shifted. As we found ourselves in this unexpectedly intimate position, the usual animosity between rivals took on a different hue.
Regina clearly liked taking control.
"See, this is where you belong," I rolled my eyes at her statement my eyes.
An idea struck me. I leaned up and kissed Regina's cheek, "Next time, I won't miss." Regina instantly got off me.
"You, you dyke," Regina announced.
Regina George left the closet that thought alone made me laugh considering the scenario that just occurred.
I escaped her wrath for another day. Exiting the janitor's room, I headed to lunch. I was starving after that encounter.
"Hey, crime partner, come sit with me and my friends!" Olivia beamed at me, placing her hand on my arm. I smiled and agreed, hoping that maybe things would turn around.
