2 weeks passed past and Regina was looking a lot better, so I had a plan.
As I entered the hospital room where Regina was, I found Mrs. George sitting by her daughter's bedside, a book in her hands. Regina looked up, a smile brightening on her face as she saw me enter the room.
"Hey, Y/n," Regina greeted me, her voice soft but filled with warmth.
I returned her smile, my nerves beginning to flutter as I needed to talk to Mrs. George. "Hey, Regina," I replied, my gaze shifting to Regina's mother. "Mrs. George, do you mind if I have a quick word with you?"
"of course" she smiled at me
"what why are you leaving me out" Regina pouted
"I will be back for you in a minute," I say to Regina
she immediately looks away but I see a smile on her face.
once outside the room, I explained my idea to Mrs George.
"I was thinking of taking Regina out for a little adventure this evening, and I was wondering if it would be okay"
"I don't see why not the doctors have cleared her to be able to come home tomorrow, but I am sure I can sort it all out But I just want to make sure Regina will be safe."
I nodded, understanding Mrs. George's concerns. "Of course, safety is my top priority," I assured her, my voice earnest. "I promise I'll take good care of her."
Mrs. George smiled, her expression softening as she looked at me. "Alright, dear, you have my permission," she said, her tone warm.
my face broke into a relieved smile, gratitude flooding through her veins at Mrs. George's approval. "Thank you, Mrs. George,"
As I approached Regina's hospital bed, I couldn't help but feel a rush of nervous excitement coursing through my veins. Tonight was the night I had been eagerly anticipating, the chance to spend some quality time alone with Regina, away from the confines of the hospital room. Taking a deep breath to steady my nerves, I met Regina's gaze with a smile.
"Hey, Regina," I began, my voice laced with anticipation. "I have a surprise for you."
Regina's eyes widened with curiosity, her interest piqued. "Oh? What is it?" she asked, a hint of excitement creeping into her tone.
I grinned, a playful glint in her eye. "Well, you'll just have to wait and see, "I teased, unable to contain her excitement any longer.
With a mischievous twinkle in her eye, I leaned in closer to Regina, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "But I'll give you a hint: it involves a car, a cliffside, and a sky full of stars."
Regina's eyes sparkled with delight at the prospect, a smile spreading across her face.
she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. "When do we leave?" As Regina's excitement bubbled over, I couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness at her reaction. "We leave right now, " I replied, mirroring Regina's enthusiasm. "But first, we'll need to get you into this."
I presented the wheelchair with a reassuring smile, hoping to ease any apprehension Regina might be feeling. I knew that being in a wheelchair wasn't ideal for Regina, but I was determined to make the evening special regardless.
Regina's expression shifted, a flicker of uncertainty crossing her features as she glanced at the wheelchair. I could sense her hesitation, but I knew that Regina trusted me.
"It's okay," I reassured her, my voice gentle yet firm. "I'll be right here with you every step of the way. Let's make tonight unforgettable, shall we?"
