Hello. Mr. X here. But, please call me Mr. X. Starting now, I'm gonna stop giving names to some (or all depending on whether I get more ideas or not) chapters of this story as it continues. Don't ask me why. Enjoy the story.

Madeline and Arvid continued walking through the woods until they reached a small town.

"Won't people recognize us as fugitives here?" Arvid asked Madeline.

"I don't believe so." Madeline replied. "Maybe, we should use fake names so nobody will alert our Fathers. Just follow my lead." She and Arvid walked through the town with people staring at Madeline.

"Sir, are you not aware that you are walking right next to a wolf?" A sophisticated woman asked Arvid, walking up to him. "Shouldn't you be alerting any hunters to hunt down this beast?"

"Beast?!" Madeline snapped. "How dare you! I'm a wolf! Nothing else to it!"

"Aaaaaaugh!!" The woman shrieked. "It can talk!" She and everyone else took off screaming.

"How long have you had a temperament?" Arvid asked.

"I don't, but I despise it when anyone calls me a beast." Madeline sighed. "Come on. Maybe someone here can give us a place to stay at."

"But, won't we be arrested if we end up sitting ducks?" Arvid asked.

"Good point, Arvid." Madeline said. "But, we should at least get some food before we keep going."

Madeline and Arvid walked into a building known as the Moonlight Tavern and walked inside and sat at a table.

"Um," A waiter started, walking up to Madeline and Arvid, "no pets allowed in our fine establishment."

"Pet?!" Madeline cried. "I-"

"Okaaaay!" Arvid interrupted. "She's not a pet. She is a seeing eye wolf. I'm slightly blind and I cannot walk around without her."

"Did she talk?" The waiter asked suspiciously.

"No, not at all." Arvid stammered. "Anyway, I will take a salad and my......seeing eye wolf will have a salad as well."

"Shouldn't we get a dog bowl for your seeing eye wolf?" The waiter asked. Madeline rolled her eyes in slight annoyance.

"Just get a regular bowl." Arvid sighed. The waiter nodded his head and walked off.

"I'm nobody's pet." Madeline growled quietly.

"Calm down, Madeline." Arvid sighed. "You know very well that you are your own wolf."

Later...

After Madeline and Arvid ate their food, they left the restaurant and the town and continued walking into the woods.

"God..." Arvid yawned. "I am tired.."

"Me too." Madeline yawned as well. "We need to find a place to stay."

"But, what about our Fathers?" Arvid asked in slight anxiety. "What if we get caught? We could get arrested if we are sitting ducks, remember?"
