The next morning...

With permission from Mother wolf and Father wolf, Madeline Emerald is taking a walk in the woods alone. The part of the woods Madeline is on is a hill with thin trees that have thin branches and a lot of leaves. You could also see the mountains from where Madeline is at. Ahh... It is really beautiful out here. She thought. The trees are beautiful, the birds are singing, everything's peaceful... Just like God intended for this world. Another part of Madeline's personality is that she's positive. She always looks on the bright side of life. She used to put smiles on humans' faces before the new law was brought into America. She's always positive. Wha-?! The sun is very...bright! She thought, as the sun shined on her eyes. Miraculous! The light is beautiful! I really wish I could experience this with a human... "Madeline!" A voice called out. Ben started running towards Madeline with feelings of anger.

Message from Mr. X: I forgot to explain what Ben, Mother wolf, and Father wolf look like. Ben is a gray wolf with brown eyes, Father wolf is also a gray wolf with the same colored eyes as Ben, and Mother wolf is a White wolf with the same colored eyes as Madeline Emerald. Let's return to the story...

As Madeline turned around, Ben stopped in front of her with a raging look on his face. "You weren't meant to be here in the woods, Madeline!!" Ben shouted. "I needed to talk to you past this time!! But, you didn't show up.... Is it because of me...? Am I a terrible brother...?" "What?! No! I never thought you were a terrible brother!" Madeline cried. "You just need to control your temper! I just want a better relationship with you, but you always yell at me... It's really hurtful...!" "I can't help it, okay?!" Ben snapped. "I'm always a negative wolf! Do you think I even wanted this argument to happen?!?" "I...I don't know, okay?!" Madeline cried slightly tearfully. "I'm sorry that I did not make it, Brother! Really, really sorry!" "Fine, Madeline!" Ben sighed. "I guess I'm not a really good brother at all... I guess we'll have to talk later..." Ben walked away regretfully. "Stay away from the humans, okay?" He called out. Then, he was gone. Sigh... If only you and I would get along... Madeline thought. My brother... I wish we would love each other..... Madeline continued walking through the woods curiously. "Ahhhhh...." She sighed happily. "It's very peaceful out here in the woods... What is this?" Madeline stopped in front of an old book covered in dust. She wiped off the dust with her paw and revealed a light brown Bible with a cross on it. A Bible? She thought. How intriguing... I wonder if someone left this here... She picked up the Bible with her mouth, turned around and walked away.

When Madeline got home...

"You found a Bible?" Father wolf asked. When Madeline got back to the cave, she went into Father wolf's room, which is a medium sized rocky room. "Yes, it is unusual that I found one in the middle of the woods." Madeline said, with the Bible in front of her. "I assumed that someone dropped it or forgot it, Father." "Do you happen to know who owned it?" Father wolf asked. "No, Father, but I can look." Madeline said. She lightly grabbed the front cover of the Bible and opened it. She saw the front page and saw the words, "Property of Arvid Williams Sr. of the Delaware Congress". "Arvid Williams Sr.?" Madeline said, confused. "Who's Arvid?" "He is Ridley's son and a Congressman himself." Father wolf responded with a deadpan voice. "A Congressman?" Madeline asked. "Ridley has a son?" "Don't you already know, Madeline?!" Ben asked angrily, as he passed by Father wolf's room. "Ben, we are talking privately!!" Father wolf snapped. "Sorry, Father!" Ben called out. Madeline and Father wolf continued talking. "This Arvid is Ridley's son?" Madeline asked. "Yes, Madeline." Father wolf replied. "He is the son of the man responsible for causing this rule. I am glad that he outlawed humans from talking to us because I hate humans!" "Wh-What?! Why?!" Madeline asked, shocked. "Why do you hate humans?!" "I don't really know, Madeline." Father wolf sighed. "It's hard to say why we dislike humans..." "We?" Madeline asked. "Me, your Mother, and Ben." Father wolf said. "Everyone else, as well." "You can't just hate humans for no reason." Madeline cried. "That's ungodly!" "I'm sorry, but that is the way things are in this cave, young lady!" Father wolf snapped. "AND, THAT'S NOT GONNA CHANGE AS LONG AS WE LIVE!!!" "HUMANS HAVE FEELINGS, FATHER!!" Madeline shouted. "THEY ARE GOD'S PEOPLE AND THEY SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO TALK TO OUR KIND!!!" "THEY DON'T NOR WILL THEY EVER HAVE THE RIGHT TO TALK US, MADELINE!!!" Father wolf screamed. "HUMANS ARE NOTHING TO US!!! THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RULE TO OUTLAW HUMANS FROM TALKING TO US!!!" "WHY?!! WHY SHOULD THERE HAVE BEEN A RULE LIKE THAT??!!" Madeline asked, anxiously angry. "What is the point of it?! Is there a reason for it?!" "YES, IT IS BECAUSE HUMANS ARE INFERIOR!!!" Father wolf suddenly screamed angrily. Madeline became speechless. Then, suddenly, Madeline ran out of the room tearfully. "MADELINE, COME BACK!!" Father wolf cried, but Madeline already ran out of the cave. She ran through the woods with tears in her eyes.
