Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the Earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the Earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the Earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.
Genesis 1:29
Madeline walked through the dark woods, searching for a fruit tree. It is really cold out here... She thought. But, it will be worth it when I find food for Arvid. The night sky was beautiful and filled with snow white clouds. The clouds are more beautiful than I! Madeline thought, smiling while looking at the clouds. What could be more beautiful than God's creation? She walked next to a large tree with shiny and beautiful apples. Noticing it, she stopped in front of the tree with astonishment. "This tree is...marvelous!" She exclaimed happily. Then, she suddenly realized something sinister about the tree. "No." She said, coming to her senses. "This tree is not the right tree." Then, she left.
This tree is known as the tree of trickery, a tree filled with evil. It disguises itself as something good. Madeline was showing that she didn't want to sin. This (sort of) references the story of Adam and Eve from Genesis where they eat off the tree of good and evil. Let's return to the story.
Madeline wandered through the woods, continuously searching for the fruit tree. Where is it? She thought calmly. It must be here in the woods! But....where could it be? Madeline stopped walking and began to think. ".......The center of the woods!" She exclaimed. "Now, I know where it is!" She began running. Do not fear, Arvid. Madeline thought. For I will bring you fruit. You will not feel any fear or anxiety when I'm near.
Meanwhile outside the Woodland cavern...
As the sky began to turn darkly blue, two wolves, guarding the entrance of the cave, snored with their heads down. The Woodland cavern is grey colored on the outside and inside and is surrounded by beautiful trees. Suddenly, the wolf on the right slowly opened his eyes. He slowly looked up and saw a line of humans marching from afar. Patriots. "Oh, no...!" The wolf whispered, horrified. "Please, no....! Not the patriots!" He slammed both paws on his partner's neck and shook him multiple times. "What?!" His partner cried, waking up. "Why are you waking me...?!" "They are here!" The right wolf cried. "The Patriotic humans are here! We have to warn the others!" They stormed into their cave, unintentionally kicking a few rocks. The patriots stopped marching as a few of them faced the Woodland cavern. "What was that?" One of them asked. "Was that Arvid?" "We will have to look." Another patriot said. "It could be someone else and not Arvid."
Meanwhile...
Madeline continuously ran until she got closer to the center. She then started walking by multiple fruit trees that don't bear apples. Getting closer... She thought. Closer than I thought... She began to notice a large green tree from afar. "Is that...?!" Madeline exclaimed, "the tree of our lord?!" She started running towards the tree and stopped in front of it. She knew that it is the real tree and not the tree of trickery. "....Miraculous!" She exclaimed with astonishment. "I have never seen any other tree like it!" The fruits on the tree began to shine on her eyes when the sun began to rise. "Miraculous!" Madeline repeated. "Just like God's people. But, how will I get an apple down from the tree?" Madeline looked down and started thinking. She needed to get the apple down without damaging the tree. Wait! She thought, an idea bursting in her head. That's it! I just need to find an apple that is the closest to the ground! The tree is so big, there are apples that, not only hang from the branches high above other trees, but also hang from branches that are much closer to the ground. She began to look for the lowest branch on the tree. It cannot be hard. The apple closest to the ground is around he.... AHA!! She found an apple hanging from the lowest branch she could find. Without being forceful, Madeline grabbed the apple with her mouth and lightly pulled it off the branch and walked off.
