Meanwhile...
As Madeline and Arvid walked around, they finally made it to the large mountains.
"We're finally here..." Madeline said in awe. "The mountains. And it's beautiful."
"Indeed, we have." Arvid said, also in awe. "I've never seen anything like it... Just amazing...." He and Madeline walked slowly through the path to the mountains when a noise interrupted them.
Snap!
"Did you just step on a stick?" Arvid asked.
"No, did you?" Madeline asked. Arvid shook his head.
"Don't move!" A voice shouted. Madeline and Arvid suddenly found themselves surrounded by Patriots pointing rifles at them.
"Hands up! Now!" The commander ordered. "As well as paws. Do it!" Arvid and Madeline held their hands and paws up.
"You've gone quite far, haven't you, son?" Williams III said, suddenly appearing. "You're very brave having made it this far and with a wolf by your side. I thought you were afraid of wolves."
"Not this one." Arvid grunted. "Get the hell away from us, you bastards!"
"Is that any way to talk to your Father, boy?" Williams III asked sternly.
"You are not my Father." Arvid blurted out, causing Madeline to gasp. "You are a coward and a monster! You chased us all the way out here just to kill us and you expect me to still acknowledge you as my Father?! You're evil." Williams III made a saddened look.
"Son.... I looked after you since your family died." He said. "I had you follow our land's rules. I made you the man you are now! I am your only true family!!"
"Then, why are you trying to kill him?!" Madeline yelled. "He may not be your actual kin, but you still took him in when he lost EVERYTHING! You are a truly evil human being!!"
"I want you to both listen to me right this minute!" Williams III ordered. "You need to know something. The truth is that-"
"Arooooooooooooooooooooo!" A sudden howl filled the air. "Aaaaoooooooooooooooooooooo!"
Madeline, Arvid, and the Patriots looked around.
"What the hell was that?!" A Patriot asked in concern. "Are there any other wolves nearby?"
"There are others nearby as well, my friend." A familiar voice said. The Patriots turned to face the wolf pack standing proudly with a large group of woodland animals.
"What?!" The commander shouted. "They're supposed to be dead! We killed them!"
"We went through worse everyday, you bastard." Seamus said. "We're not gonna let you take our daughter from us! Law or no law!"
"Father!!" Madeline cheered happily, tears in her eyes. "You've come to save us!"
"Indeed, we have." Leela said with a proud smile on her face. "We're not gonna let these brutes take you away from us. We're gonna fight and fight until victory!"
"I'm sorry, but we've killed you before," The commander said, "and, we'll be happy to kill again."
"So, you must back away or we'll have no choice but to shoot all of you." Williams III said. "Choose."
"Now!!!" Seamus yelled, as hawks from the sky dashed down and took the rifles out of the Patriots' hands.
"Gah!!" The commander shouted. "We're unarmed."
"Get them!!" Seamus ordered, as all the animals charged at the Patriots and attacked them. The animals began beating the Patriots who are attempting to fight back.
"Aaaugh!!" Several Patriots screamed.
"Run, you two!" One of the animals shouted. "Get to the mountains and hide until we beat these bastards!"
"Right!" Madeline said. "Come on, Arvid, let's go!" She and Arvid dashed into the mountains while the Patriots and the animals fought, unaware that Williams III escaped the fight and went after Madeline and Arvid.
"Where is he going?!" The commander asked. "Sir, wait!" He punched a bear in the chest, got up, and went after Williams III.
"Commander, wait!" Several Patriots yelled, but were helpless as the animals continued to maul them.
Madeline and Arvid ran into the mountains hoping that they were out of the Patriots' sights.
"Where are we gonna hide?!" Arvid asked. "The Patriots are gonna keep looking for us no matter where they go!"
"You have to trust my Father!" Madeline said. "Knowing him, he'd never let ANYONE hurt me! Now, follow me! Hurry!"
"Arvid!" Williams III called out. "Where are you, boy?!"
"Come on!" Madeline cried. She and Arvid took off and searched for a hiding spot.
They ran through the mountains dodging every obstacle they could. "Arvid! Madeline!" Williams III called out. "Where are you two?!"
"He's gaining on us!" Madeline cried. "Come on! In here!" She and Arvid ran into a cave and hid behind a boulder. They stood still as Williams III passed by them.
"Shhh." Madeline shushed Arvid. "Don't make any noise." Arvid nodded nervously.
"Where are you?!" Williams III shouted throughout the mountains. "You can't hide forever! Show yourselves!" Suddenly, Arvid accidentally bumped into a rock and it fell to the ground. "Arvid, is that you?" Williams III said, peaking into the cave. "Are you two in there?" He slowly crept into the cave as Arvid picked up a rock. He then slammed it onto his adoptive Father's skull and, with Madeline, dashed out the cave.
"You two get back here!" Williams III shouted, getting up. "Come back!"
Madeline and Arvid continued running through the mountains to get away from Williams III.
"We'll never make it in time!" Arvid cried in fear. "We're doomed!"
"We're almost there, Arvid!" Madeline said. "Keep running-"
"Stop!" Williams III said, jumping in front of Madeline and Arvid, stopping them in their tracks. "Madeline? Arvid? It is time that we talked."
