Back at the mansion...

Madeline and Arvid slept in separate rooms both with only one window each. Madeline slept quietly curled up on her bed. Praying to God that they won't get caught.

"Sleeepy.......soooooo sleepy........" Madeline muttered in her sleep. "Tiiiiirrrrrrred.... Wha-?! Huh?! Hah!!" She suddenly woke up at the sound of the creeking door. "Oh......... It's just the door." She muttered to herself. "Dear goodness, I thought it was the patriots..." She went back to sleep.

Creeeeeeeeeeek...

"Huh?" Madeline woke up at the creeking sound again. "That's weird." Once again, she fell back asleep.

Creeeeeeeeeeeeeek...

"Arvid?" Madeline said, her head up. "Is that you?"

"Maaaaaaaaadeliiiiiiiiiiiiiine..." A ghostly voice moaned. "Geeeeeeeeet oooooooooooouuuuuutt..."

"Hello?" Madeline said, climbing down from her bed. "Who's there?"

"We are coming for yooooooooooooooooouuu..." Another ghostly voice moaned. "Daddy's comiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing..."

Madeline walked out the door and into the dark hallway. "What is going on?" She said to herself. "Is someone there? Hello? Arvid?"

Meanwhile...

Arvid washed his face in the bathroom and went into the hallway which, for some reason, got deeper and deeper. "What is going on with the damn hallway?" Arvid whispered to himself, walking quietly. "Hello? Madeline?"

"Arvid!" Madeline cried, running up to Arvid from behind. "Oh, thank goodness I found you!"

"Madeline? Why did you appear right behind me?" Arvid asked. "Do you have any idea what is going on here??"

"Oh, it is nothing." Madeline said with a silly voice. "Come on. I wanna show you something."

"Ok." Arvid said, as he was about to follow Madeline.

"Arvid, wait!" A familiar voice shouted. Madeline appeared on the other side of Arvid.

"There are two Madelines?!" Arvid cried. "What is going on?!"

"That's not me!" Madeline cried. "That's a spirit!"

"Don't listen to her, Arvid!" The other Madeline said. "Come with me! Away from this imposter!"

"Arvid, look at me!" Madeline cried. "I have your necklace on! That other me doesn't!" Arvid looked at her wearing his necklace and then looked at the other Madeline who doesn't have a necklace on.

"You fools!" The other Madeline said, transforming into a humanoid spirit. She had long hair and a purple dress. "GET OUT OF OUR HOOOOOOOOME!!!"

"Auuughhh!!!" Madeline and Arvid shrieked, as they dashed away from the ghost. They ran into a red door.

"Open it! Hurry!" Madeline cried. Arvid opened the door and they ran right into another ghost.

"Jooooiin uuusss!" The ghost moaned.

"Run, run, run!" Madeline cried, as she and Arvid ran down a set of stairs and dashed towards the exit.
