Jungkook's POV
As soon as the door shut after Y/n's departure, the muscles of my jaw clenched.
I fished out my phone from my pocket and dialled my father's number. My attitude was purely salted, and my blood was boiling beneath my skin.
"Was this all your idea?" My brows furrowed.
He talked in a standard formality with elegance laced in his tone. "I thought my son would've been appreciative to see his girlfriend."
My tongue stayed firm, and I gritted my teeth. "She's not my fucking girlfriend!"
"I think you should be more grateful that this kind of thing is almost over for you." He said casually.
"Don't fall head over heels for a girl you don't know."
My teeth dug into my inner lip.
"You'll be able to have your own addition to the family. And soon, you'll forget that that girl even tried coming into your life."
Every sentence he spoke over the phone only made my face grow more bitter.
"You better leave Y/n out of this. I'll do as you say, but I'm staying here. I'm not leaving the school or my crew."
His father smirks behind the phone.
"You have built courage. But I wouldn't be that confident. It's either Jieun Mi or your life. I would choose very wisely."
He hung up the phone before I could have the chance to say anything more. I'm growing weak to my father's words, and I knew that.
It's almost impossible to turn against him.
He's basically gonna kill me if I ever side with Y/n, and that's final..
-
I've been staring directly at the board for god knows how long. My thoughts were in a hamster's cage, I couldn't figure out how to stop it from going in circles.
All I've been thinking about was Y/n. I felt easily ashamed of having her as the primary face of my mind, but that's really what I'm concerned about.
I realised my finger has been tapping the desk this whole time I spaced out in the abyss of my corrupting mind.
As if on cue, I noticed in my peripheral view that her figure was strutting down the corridor outside. My finger came to stop tapping, and quiet smacked the desk top.
"Miss Han, can I be excused to go to the bathroom?" I awkwardly raised my hand.
She turned around with that disappointed arm lean against the table and hand on her hip.
"Mr. Jeon, do you need to be excused to the principal's office?"
Her sarcasm made a few people chuckle. "My stomach is about to rupture if I don't leave quick enough."
She sighed a disappointed sigh and dismissed me, to which I bounded off from my chair and left in the speed of light.
There was Y/n, still walking down the quiet, empty hallway. My eyes set a focal point onto her figure as I sprinted toward her, and called out her name.
I was a close enough distance to seize for her hand when I tried holding her back, but she flailed my hand away.
Her face appeared sour and didn't like that I followed her. "What do you want?"
"I want to be real with you." I said, nearly out of breath.
"Oh yeah, for sure. You can be real with me. Like you've always been this whole time!" She snapped.
