CHAPTER 65 | Rare Jewel

EMIHLE.

I have no idea where Nandi and Palesa are dragging me to because honestly I don't feel like going anywhere. They showed up at my house and told me that we have to go somewhere,  I showered again and we left. Hlanga left with Isabella and Aya. He said he's going to take Isa to the park and then ice cream so I can rest and have the day to myself. I was working with Hope because we are looking for a new lawyer to help in the office while I'm working from home and will be taking maternity leave.

I am wearing my comfy clothes but not looking like a mess. I can't be caught looking like I was dragged out of bed. Vino is driving us while these two are talking my ear off and all I can think about is my comfortable bed, watching TV with Isa while she's snuggled up next to me. I know she's not going to stay long with father because she's going to want her mama when she doesn't see me after a while.

I love that she needs me and always wants to be with me. The days we spend together make us grow closer and I love it. The car suddenly stops and I frown.
“ Where are we?”
“ At the hotel, we need to show you something””
What? “ Guys please don't scare me. I'm pregnant and I don't need to see anything that is going to upset me.”
They look at each other.

“ Just come with us and you'll decide if it's worth getting upset over it”
I climb out, we get in the elevator and we go to the 9nth floor. The doors open, we continue to walk until Nandi pushes the door open, steps inside, I follow her.
She opens the door and I see three beautiful dresses on the bed. They look absolutely beautiful. I giggle cause I realize what is going on.

“ These dresses look so beautiful. I love all of them and I hope they will fit” they laugh. “ Thank you guys for organizing the baby shower for me. I really appreciate it.”  They laugh.
“ Who said it's a baby shower?” Nandi asks
“ Oh please, if it isn't then what is it?”
“ That's for you to find out when we are done with you.” Pale says chuckling. She's so excited.

“ Well, you need to get ready to see what is really going on. Everything has been prepared for you and we have 3 hours to be done with you. Ladies please come through”
“ Wait, Pale, where is ma”
“ She'll be here no gogo”
“ Ok” I changed into the robe they gave me.
They sit me in this chair in front of the mirror then I see three ladies coming towards me.

“ They are going to make you look fabulous. Enjoy” My sister gives me a champagne glass, she pours the non alcoholic champagne inside and I take a sip. They tell me they are going to dress up in their rooms.  I patiently sit while they do my make up first and nails. The other lady is busy with my wig. I keep going to the bathroom and the ladies understand that my bladder quickly gets full since I am a  pregnant woman.

Nandi comes to check on me then goes missing for a while. I don't hear from my husband and I'm missing my baby Isa. I am worried but I know she is with her father and if anything wrong happens, her father will call me. The lady is putting short pressed nails on me and making them look beautiful. My makeup artist is finally done after 2 hours.

The lady puts on my wig and begins to glue it on me. It takes her 45 minutes to be done with everything. I look at myself in the mirror and I look absolutely beautiful. It has been a very long time since I looked this way and it reminds me that somewhere, somehow I let go of myself. I look absolutely gorgeous and I feel like a million dollars.

The door opens, I see little feet walking in and I smile. She walks in looking around the suite then when her eyes land on me, they get big, literally then she runs to be. I pick her up, spin her around a little and stop before I get dizzy. She giggles then cups my face with her little hand and looks at my face. Maybe the lashes are throwing her off.
