HLANGA

I walk inside my uncle's office and he looks up. I didn't tell him I was coming and he's surprised to see me.
“ Hlanga, what brings you here after a while”
I take a seat. “ My cousin is missing and you don't tell me?”
He heaves a deep sigh then gets up and closes his office door. “ I'm tired of your sister Hlanga. Imani likes getting in trouble and I don't know what to do anymore.”
“ Why didn't you tell me she's gone to Cape Town?”
“ That's because I didn't know until you told me. I thought she left with you to do some work but no, she went to piss people off.”
“ So you didn't send her to go after the Maharaj family?”
“ Why the hell would I do that? Those people are our biggest clients. I wouldn't send her to rip them off. Fxck this child. I'm done with her. I'm done”

His phone rings and he picks it up, pinching the bride of his nose.
“ I need to deal with this, I'll be back”
He leaves and I sit there wondering why Imani  decided to steal from the Maharaj family. I know it is something big or else they wouldn't be auctioning her at the black market.

Robert walks in and he looks stressed.
“ Oh, I'm looking for your uncle”
“ Was it you Robert?”
“ Of course not! I would never harm Imani. You know this”
“ What I know is, she wouldn't go after the Maharaj family unless someone sent her or she's trying to piss off her father and you. What did you do Robert?”

“ I swear it wasn't me but Imani stole millions not only from the Maharaj's or us for that matter but someone else too”
“ Who and don't tell me it's Kader or The reaper became its not them”
“ No, not them. She stole from…I can't tell you” he looks around like he's afraid the walls will hear.
“ Just fxcken say it or I swear I'll tell my uncle what you're doing with his daughter”
“ It's Donya. She fxcken stole from him and he's out for blood. No one is safe. Not us ,you or the reaper and Kader himself. We better find her before he finds her first.” No! She did not. Fxck me Imani, what the hell did you do?.

              CAPE TOWN CITY.

The lights go out and doors get locked and I freeze. What is happening? I look at my watch and I know I'm.right in time. The arm was supposed to go off after 5 minutes, not before. Did I trigger it? Fuxk no, that’s impossible. I squeeze myself through the narrow wall until I jump down from the building to the ground. I can see the car waiting for me, I run towards it but then see men with guns surrounding it. Fxck no.

I change my direction and run to the opposite site. I run like my life depends on it and it does because I'm dead if they catch me. I stop, look back to see if anyone is following me but I'm alone. My only problem now is to run to the other side and disappear forever but I can't because the streetlights are shining so bright.

Someone is going to see me if I pass the road and I know they are looking for me, well a woman of course. I saw some lady walking towards her car. The gods are looking down on me. I quickly run to her, pull.out my gun and point it at her head.
She tries to scream “ If you dare make a sound, I'll blow your brains off. Don't look at me” I press the gun harder on her.

I look at her and she's the same size I am. “ Take off clothes now…”
“ Please don't….”
“ I said don't fuxken look at me. Take off your clothes now or you want me to kill you?”
She shakes her head then starts to undress. Fxck, I'm running out of time and I need to be out of this city before the sun rises.

I take off my clothes then quickly wear hers. I make her wear mine, even the wig. I tell her to kneel down and count to 50. She starts to count loudly crying and I'm gone. I disappeared like I wasn't just there. I could have taken her car but they would have caught me cause she would have given them the number plate.

I look at the hotel I'm staying at, waiting to see any suspicious cars around but it's quiet. I slowly walk to the run down hotel like I am a drunk woman. When I get inside the building I exhale  because I'm very relieved. I get inside, take off this woman's clothes and get in bed. A smile forms on my lips and I start to laugh. I laugh until I stop because I need to hide these things.

I wrap them in a dirty cloth then open my door. I see the cart sitting at the corner. I walk to it then carefully hide my things making sure no one will find them. Even the owner on this cart won't find them and if he does and crosses me, she will meet her ancestors. I walk back to my room wearing my bra, underwear and socks.

I'm too tired to take off the things I'm wearing so I lay on the bed  facing down. This has got to be the riskiest job I have ever done but it's over and tomorrow I'm heading home. I get up, go to the bathroom, pee then walk out when I feel cold metal at the back of my head.

“ Bxtch you thought we wouldn't find you?” They laughed.
I quickly turn, disarm the gun from him but I feel something rough behind placed around my neck and they pull it and I fall down as it chokes me.
I try to pull it off with my hands but it's getting tighter and they are laughing. I kick one or two of them when someone pulls the rope around my neck, lifts me off the ground like I weigh nothing, making me lie on my stomach.

Three shots are fired next to my head and I stop fighting and freeze.
“ Oh you are going to be such fun” He says with a disgusting breath on my cheek. They put chloroform on my face, I get dizzy and lose consciousness. They got me and I'm fuxked.
