FIRST PERSON PERSPECTIVE ━━ KIMBERLY

I FEEL MYSELF get rolled over on my side by someone. My eyes shoot open quickly and i sit up in my bed, i start to sweat and breathe hard as i look for the person who nudged me. But then i see felix who has a big smirk on his face. "Hi."

"Well good morning to you too, darling.." i say as i put my arm over my forehead and wipe the sweat off. Felix lets out a short giggle and give me a pat on the back.

"Happy new years eve."

"What?" I cocked an eyebrow and stared at him as i patted a spot beside me and he sat down with me.

"its new years, darling. don't you know that?" Felix held my hand and gently caressed it with his thumb.

"Really?" i released my free hand from under the bed sheets and checked the date on my phone. Yep. December 31st of 2023.

"Holy shit.." i curse under my breath "Is it already that time of year already?"

"Yep. and me and the members, including you, are having a celebration party tonight since were all off today. Hyung's went out to get all the things for the party." Felix said in between breaths.

i let a little smile creep up on my lips "Im happy that i've been here for so long.. and yet again im surprised its almost 2024. Jesus.. time flies by am i right?"

Felix lets out a little chuckle and nods "Indeed it does, my love." he smiles at me before giving me a little soft kiss on the lips.

A COUPLE HOURS LATER, i hear the front door open and Hyunjin, Chris, Changbin, and Minho walk in the door with the sound of crinkling bags following with them with chips, salsa, party poppers, 2024 headbands and sunglasses, ice cream, frozen pizza, a bag of chicken, and so much more then i could count inside the bags.

"Wow. you surely got a lot more stuff then we thought you would" Han joked. Minho rolled his eyes and plopped down on the nearest chair he could find.

"Well. we need enough food to feed 9 mouths, idiot," Chris reminded him. Han made a dumbfounded face and shrugged, walking over to the fridge and drinking a little bit of his glass of soda.

"He's not wrong." I said with a little hint of a laugh in my voice.

Han stopped drinking his soda, a little blush forming on his cheeks "oh whatever."

FELIX AND I were eating chips and salsa from the counter until we heard a yell come from the living room saying "ITS ABOUT TO HAPPEN!!!" and we immediately knew who it was.
Changbin and Han.

We both stare at each other and i swallow the bite of salsa and chip i had in my mouth.

"You owe me a new year's kiss, y'know that?" i chuckled and took Felix hand and led him out into the living room where Han, Hyunjin, Changbin, and Jeongin were yelling there heads off because the timer was counting down.

Felix held my hand tightly and we both watched the timer tic down, smiles gradually forming on our faces in excitement.

Felix immediately pulled me in and held my neck. He placed a soft, passionate kiss on my lips. my eyes widened a little bit but i couldn't help but kiss my kiss him back.
it was what i asked for anyway.

The others screamed so loud it made my ears start ringing. I thought i was about to go deaf. Some of them were shoving us around since we were kissing, making us part our lips, and it was the new year so they were going crazy, like they do every year.

"Happy new year everyone. Let this year be better then last year." Chris said as he gave everyone a big group hug.

"You say that every year." Minho said as he got on his phone and started texting on his phone.

"I HAVENT SHOWERED SINCE LAST YEAR!!"

"STFU HAN"

"SHUT UP HAN."

Felix and i laughed and i clinged onto his waist tightly. His grip was a little tight and warm. it felt so cozy. "I love you. Thank you for making this the best year of my life."

"I love you too, darling. I'll make this year even better for you." Felix teased and gave me a little kiss on the forehead.

"Thank you for everything."

a new adventure waits for us.
and a new future holds with it.
