Y/ns POV
Right before Olivia gets to the airport.

I walk through the airport with My parents and Nash. I'm leaving for New Hampshire today so my parents came home and threw me a huge party yesterday.

From what I know of Nash will get one to in a couple days because his college starts after mine so he doesn't have to leave today.

As I walk through the airport with my parents I don't think of much. I'm more worried about flying alone, especially with my anxiety with the plane taking off and stuff.

We arrive at my gate right before they start calling people to board. I'm going to be one of the last ones to board which is nice so I have time to say goodbye.

My mom starts crying which is ironic since she hasn't been here for the past 9 years of my life pretty much.

I hug my parents first, and they kiss my cheeks. Next I turn to Nash. I smile a little bit.

"Be safe out there. If you need anything, just call me and I'll be out there no matter what," Nash says to me and tears start to form.

If you haven't been able to tell, Nash and I aren't like other siblings. We have our moments where we fight or disagree but we're no matter what very close. This is the result of our parents leaving after our 10th birthday and leaving us home alone all the time. That's why I'd say the two of us are a lot more mature for our age.

I started to cook from then on and it wasn't too hard. I had cooked all the time with my parents before that point in my life. Nash and I separated house chores and we both did a fair share. I took over the cooking, cleaning, and laundry while Nash took over the folding, taking care of the outside, and the dishes. He would also fix anything that broke around the house because he's always had a handy talent.

Anyways back to our goodbyes. Tears start to roll down my face and Nash pulls me into a hug. This is definitely a hard goodbye. For the both of us.

As my flight gets called I look behind them, praying to see Olivia which I don't. I doubt I'd even see her because she's pretty short. I say goodbye one last time and walk through the gate. I look back one more time and then turn away still not seeing Liv. Out of the corner of my eye I swear I saw Olivia but the door was closed before I could see if I was correct or not.

It was probably my imagination.

I find my seat on the plane which is a window seat. It turns out I'm not sat next to anyone so it's just me for a 6 hour flight.

As they start to announce the safety stuff before take off, I grab my phone to turn on airplane mode. I take a minute to look at my last text with Olivia which was her saying can we talk. I start to type goodbye but right as I'm about to hit send, I decide not to. I delete the text and turn my phone on airplane mode.

After the flight

I finally get off the plane and end up in the airport that we flew into for our senior trip. I know my way around the airport, thanks to my wonderful sense of direction.

I'm able to collect my bags pretty easily and from there I head out to my car that we shipped a week ago. I load my things into the car before getting into the drivers seat.

I turn on Taylor swift and smile when one of my favorite songs comes on, the way I loved you.

I sing along as I pull out of the airport and head to Dartmouth.

2 hours later

I park in the parking lot and look up my dorm room. Once I find the number, I make my way to my door room holding my suitcase and backpack.

I arrive at the room and unlock it. I look around at the okay sized room. It's split in half, one side is mine and the other will be my roommates. There also a bathroom attached which is nice.  Doesn't look like she's here yet. I see my boxes already placed on one of the beds so I decide to put my bags there for now. I'll let my roommate decide which side she wants.

I look at my watch confused with the time, then I realize it's 3 hours ahead here. The time reads 1:00 PM. I have to go down to the barn because August should be arriving any time now.

I make my way down and outside and I quickly get directions to the barn. I see a big truck and trailer pull in and I figure out that it's probably loading August and any other horses being brought here.

Once the trailers parked, me and a bunch of other girls make there way to the huge trailer. I see August's blanket in the back and see he raises his head. I smile and wait for the other girls to get there horses. Once the last girls out, I make my way in the trailer and collect August.

"Hey buddy," I whisper to him and message his ears. He loves ear pets. I release his lead rope from where it's tying him to the trailer and lead him out of there.

Once I get him off the trailer he looks around. He reaches his neck down to sniff around. I look at my phone trying to figure out where his stall is gonna be. I figure out his stall number is 13. What a coincidence. 13 happens to be Taylor Swifts lucky number, and August is named after one of her songs.

I lead him into his stall and take of his halter and blanket. I pet him and also give him a treat. From there I leave to go put his stuff away and to get him his grain.

Olivia's POV

I just landed and now I'm making my way to a rental car. I find it easily which I'm grateful for. I throw my backpack in the back and then climb into the drivers side.

I pull out of the airport and find a grocery store. I walk in quickly with my wallet. I make my way to the flower section and find white roses. I smile picking them up. They look perfect. There also Y/ns favorite flower.

I get up to the counter and the lady smiles at me. "These for someone special?" She asks me and I smile as I take out my card to pay for them.

"Yeah there for my best friend," I say and the lady smiles.

"I hope she likes them. There really pretty so I don't see why she wouldn't," she says making me smile wider. "Have a good day sweetheart."

"Thank you. You too," I say taking the flowers and making my way back to the car.

About an hour and 45 minutes later I arrive at Dartmouth. I take a deep breath and make my way up to Y/ns dorm. When we were still talking she told me her dorm room number and I'm so grateful that I remembered.

I knock on the door and get no answer. I try and open the door and it's unlocked. Typical Y/n. I see all of her stuff on a bed and I see another bed probably for her roommate.

I'm thinking Y/n is probably down at the barn settling August in so I sit on her bed and wait for her. I hold the flowers and take a few deep breaths.

About 10 minutes later the door starts to open. Y/n comes through and looks up when she hears me stand up from the bed.

For a moment she looks scared but then when she sees it's me, she goes through many emotions. Scared, happy, and confused.

"Liv?" She speaks quietly and I smile hearing her voice.

"H-hi," I say and my voice cracks a little.
