Seated upon the throne alongside his queen, the king exuded a commanding aura as they eagerly anticipated the arrival of their seven bloodlines. The grandiose doors creaked open slowly, and in succession, each heir made a solo entrance into the throne room, displaying impeccable grooming and attire adorned with badges symbolizing their accomplishments in royal trials and events.
Standing in a neat line before their father, the ruler of the kingdom, they simultaneously bowed at a perfect 90° angle, their right hands resting on their chests.
"Greetings, your majesty," they chorused, gracefully lowering themselves to one knee as a gesture of profound respect. The king and queen nodded, granting permission for them to raise their heads.
As the king prepared to address his progeny, the queen's expression shifted to one of concern. She delicately placed her hand on the king's, capturing his attention.
"Dear, where is-"
Before she could finish her sentence, a small thud echoed, diverting everyone's attention to the door. A diminutive figure lay flat on the ground, a pink shoe tossed forward from the impact of the fall.
After a moment of bewilderment, the little one slowly rose, tears welling up as the stinging sensation on her face became apparent. Holding her nose with shaky hands, she garnered sympathy from the room.
In a rush, one of her brothers came to her aid, gently lifting her from the ground and ensuring her dress was pristine. The other siblings joined, offering their care and concern. One brother, in particular, held her face tenderly.
"Where does it hurt?" he inquired, and her tiny hands pointed directly to her nose. The king and queen watched as their adult sons showered the little one with love, hearts melting at the sight of the seven towering figures caring for their four-year-old sister.
Feeling a soothing sensation on her face, the little one endured a gentle blow from her brother to ease the pain. When asked if it still hurt, she shook her head, wiping tears with her fist and gazing innocently at her brothers, clutching the hem of her dress.
After this tender moment, the siblings repositioned themselves in a line. Towering figures and a petite ball of innocence at the end, resembling a squeaky toy. Once again, they collectively bowed.
"Greetings, your majesty," they proclaimed in unison. The little girl, with a cute courtesy, stumbled forward and fell on her palms. Swiftly recovering, she stood up, performed her courtesy once again, completing the endearing scene.
The king gestured for them to rise, his tone grave as he began to address his children.
"My children, I have summoned you here to discuss a matter of utmost importance." The room grew silent, and a subtle unease settled among them.
"In the face of an impending war,"
the king announced with somber sincerity, casting a shadow over the room. The news weighed heavily on everyone, their eyes reflecting the gravity of the impending conflict. A strange aura began to emanate from each royal figure, and the little one, sensing the shift, looked up at her brother. Colors of energy waves surrounded them, making her feel small in the presence of their potent aura.
With the proclamation of war, tension hung in the air.
"Remember the strength that courses through your veins – the power of our royal blood," he continued, his gaze intense. "No force can defeat us as long as we stand united. I entrust each of you with the task of securing victory on the battlefield, and above all, a safe return to the kingdom."
His words echoed in the chamber, resonating with a sense of duty and determination. Each son absorbed the gravity of their responsibility, nodding in acknowledgment. The weight of their lineage and the kingdom's fate rested on their shoulders as they prepared to face the imminent conflict.
