CHAPTER 68
It was three in the morning. Or maybe I should say night. Anyway, the fact was that I was lying on my bed, covered with my favourite black blankets and staring at the ceiling for almost two hours now. All the sceen between Lauren and Barty Jr. ended two hours ago and Barty begged her to go back to Hogwarts and tell to others that Voldemort and the Death Eaters will attack tomorrow. And, after this, he (means we) explained to Lauren the plan, telling her to warn Raveenna, Fred and George, Harry, Hermione, Ron and the others so they could tell Dumbledore and be prepared.
Because I had this aweful feeling that Father found out who the other descendants are. Because if he didn't, why would he attack the first day after holidays?
I sighed, shivering uder the blakets because the cold air from the half opened window caressed gently my warm skin.
Flashback:
''So, you're telling me that you will attack Hogwarts tomorrow?'' Lauren asked, trying to hide her surprise and hurt. She hugged her knees next to her chest.
I sighed. ''Yes. Unfortunately yes,'' I murmured, looking down at the floor, feeling like a horrible person - what I sincerly was.
''But...I don't uderstand why you two are working with You-Know-Who. I mean, you're on the good side, right? Right dad? Right Ramona?'' she asked, staring from me to her father and back to me, her big blue eyes opened, making her look like a little, scared and surprised kiddo.
I sighed again, this time a little louder. ''Lauren, my father is a powerful, powerful wizard. And what do you think he'd do if he'd find out that his favourite Death Eater and his daughter are actually his worst enemies?'' I asked, giving her a quick look. She was playing with a strand of her blonde hair, chaning its colour each moment; now it was blonde, her natural one, than birght pink, than green and then again blonde.
''He would probably kill you both,'' he finally said, shrugging. ''Ok, I get it.''
Barty Jr. sighed, squeezing his daughter's hand. ''Lauren, I have to ask you something.'' Lauren glanced at her and when her eyes stopped on her father's face, her eyes started shining like little stars and her lips automatically formed a big, happy smile. ''Yes, dad?'' I knew she loved the sound of this word. I, opposite to her, hated it.
Barty took a deep breath. ''Go back to Hogwarts and hide.'' I was a bit surprised by the question but it made sense. If Father finds her, he'll kill her. ''No. I'm not going to hide like a pussy. I am going to fight for justice,'' Lauren said with a strong voice. ''Please, Lu-Lu, hide. I don't want you to die-'' ''and I don't want other to die because of me!'' Lauren almost yelled. ''Chill down, Lauren. And be quite!'' I hissed to her. She sighed.
''I'm not going to hide like a coward,'' she murmured. She was silent for a moment. ''But I can go back. Without hiding. I never hide,'' she added, an evil smile growing up on her lips, reminding me of the Lauren I knew before. ''Fine, Lu-Lu. But take care of yourself. You're too young to die in a war like this one,'' her father said, looking worried what made Lauren smile a bit. ''Don't worry. I can take care of myself. I did it for almost 14 years,'' she tryed to joke. Barty Jr. squeezed her hand. ''And I promise that you won't have to do it in the next 14 years. At least not alone.'' Lauren smiled at her, happily.
And it was then, when I had this amazing, totally awesome idea. ''Lauren! Please, do me a favour!'' I tryed to keep calm my voice but I could. ''Yes?'' I smiled. ''Warn my friends. Tell him about my Father's plan.'' I looked around me, closing my mind so he won't hear my thought which were pretty loud at the moment, I am sure of this.
