"I promise y/n, I will take care of you. I won't let anything hurt you." I softly said while caressing her cheeks.

We sat hugging each other for a while on the cold floor yet our body radiated warmth. It felt peaceful being this close to her. I could hear her soft heartbeats.

I looked down and saw her eyes closed making me conclude that she's asleep. I placed a tender kiss on her forehead and hugged her tightly.

I carefully slide my arm under her thigh and another under her neck without waking her up. I got up with her in my arms. She unknowingly snuggled in my chest causing goosebumps all over my body.

I walked upstairs, taking her in her room, I gently placed her on the soft mattress. I stood straight to cover her with blanket but I felt a tug on my sleeve.

Y/n was gripping my sleep with her eyes slowly opening. I took a seat on the edge of the bed.

"What happened, y/n?" I asked softly caressing her cheeks.

"Can you please stay?" She asks in a low tone. "I don't want to be alone." She further says clenching my heart. I can't let her alone when I'm with her. I don't want her to be alone.

"I need you." She says with her pleading eyes. Tear rolled down her cheek and I wiped it off. But what she said melt my heart.

"I'm here y/n. I'm not going anywhere." I said and leaned down to attach my lips on her forehead. I let the kiss linger on her forehead for few second before pulling out.

"You haven't eaten anything. Let me bring you something to eat, hmm?" I softly said caressing her head. I can't let her sleep empty stomach especially after she cried.

"P..please." she let out a sob with trembling lips.

"Hey! Don't cry y/n please. I'm not going anywhere, hmm? I'm here." I assured her wiping off her tears. Her tears were clenching my heart. I'd kill that demon who terrified her.

"Y/n, listen to me. I'm just downstairs, okay? I'll be back in few minutes. I promise you. Just wait for a while, okay?" I said tenderly caressing her cheek. She nods and I covered her with blanket.

I got up from bed and walked downstairs. I quickly made Ramen for us as that's the only thing that won't take much time. I can't leave y/n alone.

Soon, i was done preparing the dinner for us. I kept some kimchi and bowl of Ramen on tray and headed towards her bedroom. I opened the door and saw y/n hiding under the blanket.

She's still so terrified.

While walking towards the bed, my gaze fell on her foot that was picking out of the blanket. She had bruises. She must've hurt herself while escaping from him.

I kept the tray on nightstand and took out the firstaid box. Taking out the ointment, I walked towards her leg and opened the blanket a little reveling her foot. There was a little swelling on her ankle.

I cleaned her foot and applied ointment on the parts where I saw a little blood coming out. It might be because of small yet sharp gravels in our area. The corner of my eyes glistened a bit because of her condition.

I spared and started to massage her ankle which was swellon. Feeling my touch, she stiffened and sat up with a jolt. My eyes went wide as she was trembling while tears formed in her eyes.

"Y/n." I said while walking towards her. I sat down on the bed and she wrapped her arms around my neck. I hugged her back, pulling her closer. I let her calm down.

"Relax, it was me, sweetheart. You have sprained your ankle." I softly whispered in her ears. I felt her muscles relaxing. I slowly pulled out of the hug and made her look at me by placing my finger under her chin.
