Hanso didn't leave immediately. Instead, he stepped forward, his eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that made you freeze in place. Taehyung's protective hold on you tightened, but you gently pulled away, not wanting to escalate the tension.

"Y/n," Hanso said softly, his voice laced with a mix of regret and longing. "Can we talk? Just the two of us? Please?"

Taehyung immediately stepped between you and Hanso. "She doesn't need to hear anything from you," he said firmly, his voice sharp with anger.

But Hanso ignored him, his focus solely on you. "I know I made mistakes," he said, his tone pleading. "I was scared and stupid, but I never stopped loving you."

You hesitated, the words hitting a part of your heart you thought you had buried. "Hanso, you left me when I needed you the most," you said, your voice trembling.

"I know," he admitted, his voice cracking. "And I've regretted it every single day. I was a coward, but I'm here now. I want to make things right. For you. For the baby."

"Hanso," Taehyung warned, his voice low and dangerous, "you had your chance. Leave her alone."

But before Taehyung could say more, his mother stepped forward, her expression stern but gentle. "Taehyung," she said, her voice carrying authority, "you can't deny Hanso his right to be a father. This is his child."

Taehyung's eyes flashed with hurt and anger. "His right? He abandoned her! He doesn't get to come back now and pretend to care."

"Hanso is still the father," his mother insisted, turning to you with a softer expression. "Y/n, think about the child. A baby deserves to know their real father."

You felt your resolve waver under her words and Hanso's gaze. Memories of your past with him surfaced-moments of laughter, shared dreams, and promises you thought would last forever.

"Do you remember the night we stayed up talking about our future?" Hanso asked, his voice gentle, almost coaxing. "How we planned our lives together? That's still what I want, Y/n. We can have that again."

Your chest tightened, confusion and doubt swirling within you. "I... I don't know," you whispered, looking down at your hands.

Taehyung's breath hitched, the fear of losing you evident in his eyes. "Y/n," he said softly, stepping closer to you, "don't let him manipulate you. Think about everything we've built together, everything we've shared."

Hanso's voice cut through, his tone growing more desperate. "What have you built, Y/n? A life of pity? You deserve more than being someone's responsibility."

Taehyung flinched as if Hanso's words were a physical blow. "It's not pity," Taehyung said, his voice breaking. "I love her. I love the baby. They're my family."

Hanso scoffed, taking another step closer to you. "Y/n, you know deep down this isn't right. You're mine. We have a history, a connection no one can replace."

You felt tears pricking your eyes as the weight of their words pressed down on you. "I... I need to think," you said, your voice barely above a whisper.

Taehyung's face fell, pain etched deeply into his features. "Y/n," he said, his voice filled with quiet desperation, please don't push me away. I promised to take care of you, to love you and the baby. Don't let him take that from us.

Hanso reached out, gently taking your hand. "I'm here now," he said, his voice soft and persuasive. "Let me prove to you that I can be the man you deserve."

Taehyung's hands balled into fists at his sides, his knuckles white. He looked at you with a vulnerability that broke your heart.

The room was heavy with silence as the weight of the decision loomed over you. You looked between Hanso's pleading eyes and Taehyung's heartbroken gaze, your mind a whirlwind of emotions.
