The soft amber glow of the living room lights shimmered like candlelight against the polished floor. The world outside was quiet, hushed under the velvet embrace of night, but inside—inside was warmth, laughter, and something tender that wrapped itself around your chest like a secret blooming at last.

You stepped into the living room after changing into something comfortable, your hair loosely tied, your feet bare against the wooden floor. The medal still hung around your neck, cool against your collarbone.

Taehyung stood in the center of the room, dressed in a simple white shirt and grey sweatpants, but he looked like poetry waiting to be read. His sleeves were rolled, his hair slightly tousled. A slow, romantic melody played in the background — the kind that wrapped itself into your skin without asking.

And then he held out his hand, palm open and eyes impossibly soft. "May I have this dance, Mrs. Kim?"

You blinked, a quiet laugh spilling from your lips. "You're serious?"

He smiled, tilting his head with a teasing glint. "Dead serious. I didn't get to see you on stage up close... So I want a private performance."

"I thought you were clapping loud enough for the entire room."

"I was." He stepped closer, hand still extended. "But I want to dance with the girl who made my heart forget how to stay still."

Your breath caught as you slid your fingers into his. "You're cheesy, Kim Taehyung."

"And yet, you're still holding my hand."

You laughed, the sound fragile with emotion. He gently tugged you forward until your bodies were close — not pressed together, but aligned, warm. One hand on your waist, the other cradling your free hand. Your other rested softly on his shoulder.

The sway began, slow and almost shy. The song was faint, like a lullaby, but your heartbeat was thunderous. Taehyung's eyes never left yours.

"You looked like a dream tonight," he murmured.

"You've been telling me that all night."

"Because it's true."

Your gaze dropped. "I was nervous... until I saw you."

"That's funny," he whispered, his thumb brushing along your waistline. "I was fine... until I saw you. Then I couldn't breathe."

You laughed under your breath. "Really?"

"Really. You were... everything. I couldn't look away."

You twirled gently in his arms, your hair brushing across his shoulder before you came back into his embrace. "You never said anything after the performance."

"I wanted to wait until it was just us," he said. "So I could tell you without sharing you with anyone."

His words wrapped around your heart. "Taehyung..."

"You've changed, Y/N." His hand slipped from your waist to your back, pressing you just a little closer. "Not into someone new. Just into more of yourself. And I—" He paused, voice tightening. "I've fallen in love with every version of you."

Your breath caught.

He smiled gently, leaning his forehead against yours. "And it's terrifying... how much I want to be yours."

"You already are," you whispered.

His hand cupped your cheek, warm and steady. "Then let me say it properly."

Your eyes fluttered shut, every breath syncing with his.

"I love you, Y/N."

You swallowed the knot rising in your throat. "Say it again."
