If I had any kind of a drink right now, I'd splash it at her face.

She pointedly ignores my deathly glare, rattling on about her plans with Taehyung for their second anniversary.

"Ohmigosh, these dresses are all so gorgeous - I can't decide which one to wear to our dinner date," Jennie gushes, shoving her iPad in my face, but I shove it back at her.

"For the millionth time - I don't give a fuck," I say, returning my attention to the piece of cotton broadcloth I'm practicing my stitching on. I'd been sewing peacefully before she waltzed in to plop beside me on the couch with the sole intent to annoy me.

Jennie hums thoughtfully. "I think this red one would look great on my figure..."

An overwhelming wave of fury surges through me, and I pick up a roll of thread and toss it at her face. "Why won't you just leave me alone? I said I don't care."

Jennie's grin only widens. "Geez, Narae, jealous much...?"

"Jealous about what?" Taehyung asks as he strides into the room, catching the both of us by surprise.

I quickly force out a merry laugh, trying to stamp down my rising panic. "Jennie here was asking me which dress she should wear to your date, and I said it doesn't matter 'cause she looks good in everything - so that's why she said that. It was just a silly conversation."

Taehyung joins us on the couch, a big smile spreading across his face. "Wow, you girls have become fast friends, huh."

"Yep," Jennie and I say at the same time, grinning as pleasantly as we can at each other.

Then Taehyung's gaze lands my sewing, and his smile grows even bigger. "You're practicing."

"Oh, yeah!" I say, my own smile now genuine. But before I can say anything more, Jennie swiftly rises and sits in Taehyung's lap.

"I'm so excited for our anniversary dinner at Le Jardin Rouge, babe," She says, laying her hand on his chest. "I've booked the entire place for a few hours so it'll just be the two of us. Oh, and I just rented us a cottage on Cape Coral for our special getaway. The sea air will do us good and we'll have the sandy beaches all to ourselves for long walks hand in hand. And the seaside town has all these cute little shops waiting for us to explore them..."

"Sounds amazing." Taehyung says, tilting his head up and pressing his lips on hers.

I just sit there with my stupid piece of fabric, my jaw clenched tight.

And then Jennie lets out a big, loud yawn. "Ugh, all that planning has made me exhausted. Think you could give me a lift to my room, Tae sweetie?"

Taehyung chuckles, scooping her up bridal style and standing up. "Anything for you, Nini."

"See you guys later," I say cheerfully as they leave.

Once they're out of sight, I throw my sewing across the room.

This is the worst. I want nothing more than to run to my room and sulk for the rest of the day, but that's exactly what Jennie would want. I mustn't continue to give her the satisfaction of seeing how much she's getting at me. So, I hold my chin up and spend the day as "happily" as I can manage.

The days that follow suck even more.

Taehyung and Jennie showily celebrate their stupid anniversary, and they cap things off by going away for the weekend. The way they're all tender and lovey-dovey when they return makes my blood pressure skyrocket so bad I nearly burst an artery.

Jennie is glued to Taehyung's side 24/7, making sure I never get a moment alone with him anymore. They go out on dates almost everyday. And they do PDA a lot, smooching and petting and shit in front of everyone. Jennie starts wearing strapless tops and the like a lot, flaunting her hickeys. She cooks a favorite food of Taehyung's each day. She even drives with him to work. She's unstoppable.

I catch Hyejin glancing from me to Jennie and Taehyung a bunch of times, the barest hint of a smirk on her face. She never says a word, but it's clear she knows what's going on between Jennie and I. What she thinks of it all exactly, I can't be sure.

I smile and laugh a lot whenever I can, trying to come off as happy and carefree as possible. It's the most I can do; my hands are tied. I can't afford to get pushy or forceful in this battle: There's no subtle way to try and pry Taehyung off Jennie. I can't have him finding out about my true feelings yet.

And then there's Daeun. Unlike me, she is not make any efforts to hide how she feels about Taennie - she's doing the exact opposite: positively glaring and hissing and crap everytime she sees them together. Which is all the time.

I've no idea what she's gonna do, but whatever it is, I'm hella sure she's going to do it soon.

*******

"Aww, the connection between them is so unmistakable," Jennie coos, snuggling closer into Taehyung's side. "You can really feel the chemistry shining through..."

I flash her a bland smile.

Just wait until I get my hands on this bitch.

I'd been going about my business when she'd oh-so-sweetly invited me to watch this cheesy romcom with her and Taehyung. Unable to come up with a decent excuse fast enough, I'd pasted on a big smile and joined them.

And as if that's not enough, everytime the couple onscreen kisses, Taehyung and Jennie do, too.

They're in the middle of an infuriatingly long kiss when the door flies open and Daeun marches in, this menacing look on her face. A big bottle of what looks like water in one hand, she slams the door closed behind her and locks it with a click.

And then she stomps to where the other two are seated, grabs Jennie's hand and yanks her off Taehyung.

"What the hell, Daeun?!" Taehyung growls as Jennie falls on the floor with a cry.

Daeun ignores him, removing the cap from the bottle and then slopping like half of it's contents on Jennie.

"You stupid biiiiiiitch!" Jennie shrieks in protest. "How dare you??"

Taehyung stares down at her, an almost comical look of shock on his face, and then he looks at Daeun. "What's gotten into you, Daeun??"

But Daeun pays him no attention, splashing some water on the floor as she approaches me, and then she dumps the rest of the it on me.

I gasp and gag as a strong, strange smell hits my nose - this is not water, it's fucking ethanol!!!!

"What the hell, bitch??" I scream.

Unfazed by our outcries, Daeun tosses the empty bottle over her shoulder and calmly takes out a lighter from her pants' pocket.

"Shut your mouths everyone, and don't move a muscle. Or you burn alive."
