"I just don't get him!" I slump onto Jimin's couch with a frustrated sigh. "One minute it's like he's scowling and keeping an eye on me whenever I'm talking to you or another guy. But then the next, he's falling all over himself to open doors and pull out chairs for Jennie. It's like he can't decide if he's jealous or devoted. How the hell am I supposed to read those mixed signals??"

"You need to chillax," Jimin says soothingly, setting aside his phone and leaning forward. "Sure, it's a messy situation and all, but you're strong - you'll figure it out."

I groan, burying my face in my hands. "Fuck, I don't know..."

While Jimin's not exactly offering any solutions, his support is really comforting. It's nice to have somebody to vent to, and not have to deal with shit all on my own anymore.

"Hey, so," I turn to him, deciding to change the topic. "You remember me mentioning that I have a sister some days back...?"

Jimin's eyes lights up. "Oh, yeah - what's her name?"

"Thea," I say, a small smile tugging at my lips. "She's turning seventeen tomorrow - she's got really expensive taste and I want to get her something amazing. Will you come with me to pick out a gift?"

He nods eagerly. "Yeah, of course, but I have a condition..."

"Huh?" I say, frowning a bit.

"You will be visiting her to give her the gift right?"

I nod slowly. "I'm planning to, it's been a while since I left." I miss her. Nessa, too.

"Let me come with - that's my condition," Jimin says, smiling warmly. "I wanna meet her."

He does??

Well, there's no point in saying no... He's aware of almost all of my dirty laundry now, and he's nice and supportive and he didn't expose me - I can trust him.

"Okay," I agree with a grin, and he gives me a satisfied nod.

"Awesome. Let me just change real quick, and then we'll head out to find something special for Thea."

I nod, and Jimin stands up and disappears from the room. With a burst of anticipation, I decide to head outside and wait for him there.
Just am I'm stepping onto the porch, I run into Hyejin.

Confusion and curiosity flood my mind. What is she doing here??

The older woman's eyes widen in surprise as she takes me in. "Well, well, look who it is," She drawls, lips curling into a queenly smirk. "Fancy meeting you here..."

"Hello to you too, Hyejin," I say, offering her a bland smile. "What brings you here..?"

She steps closer, glancing around. "I'm visiting my friend Jieun."

Oh, right. She did once mention her friendship with Jimin's stepmother. This house is so huge, so I still haven't met the woman.

"Look," Hyejin continues, voice lowered. "It hasn't escaped my notice how close you and Jimin have become..." Her gaze drops to my stomach. "I hope he's been wearing a raincoat, if you know what I mean..."

I give her a long, flat stare. "Seriously - this again??"

"No rubber, no scrubber!" Hyejin insists in a loud whisper. "I'm just trying to look out for you! Are you on the pill or some other form of birth of control??"

I hold up my arms. "Listen, Hyejin-"

"Hyejin, why are standing here!" A breezy female voice calls out from behind me, making me freeze solid.

It can't be...

Slowly, fearfully, I turn around. And my stomach sinks like a stone as I see the owner of the voice.

"M-m-Mom...?!"
