Dealing with different kinds of people has taught the 32 years old enough lesson about the world that his parents couldn't who left this world for eternity when he was just 15. Born to a millionaire couple, he had every level of comfort in life since childhood, but it lacked the love of his parents.

Namjoon's father inherited millions from his family and used to run a very successful textile business while his wife came from a comparatively less wealthy family but an educated one. She was an aspiring fashion designer when they got married but after Namjoon's birth, she wanted to focus on her son's upbringing. The friends and other relatives would tag them as the perfect family built on the basis of love and respect, but things changed when she was diagnosed with terminal disease.

Within a year, Mrs. Kim set foot on her journey to heaven when her son was just 7. The devastated husband and the mourning son held onto each other during this tough time but the loss they incurred could never be reclaimed.

In the fresher year of high school, Namjoon was very excited to return home as he won a Maths championship at school. After the chaperone dropped him at his father's office, he ran through the corridors to reach his father's cabin with the small trophy in hand only to find the lifeless body being lifted up to a stature. It was a severe heart attack in the midst of a meeting. Before he could be taken to the hospital, his soul already left the mortal body. The small trophy fell on the ground and the knees of the teenage boy got bruised when he fell on the ground in shock.

Kim Jae-rin, the personal assistant of his father was the one who took care of the boy since then. He even took the boy to his own home as leaving the teenager at the giant mansion with servants didn't seem like an ideal option to him. Namjoon became comfortable around Jae-rin and his wife, but he only shared his pain and fears with the boy who was just a year younger than him, Kim Taehyung. They became like brothers who would always have each other's back.

The Kim mansion was sealed off by Namjoon when he was 20 as he didn't want to live in that house that only reminded him of his parents whom he loved with the last drop of his blood. Selling it would mean giving up those memories, so instead he just let that be and shifted to a new apartment that he bought from the millions that he inherited from his father. Jae-rin made sure the boy gets every penny of his inheritance without any nuisance.

It was Namjoon himself who passed the approval to retain all the employees working in the office and factory. The house helpers were appointed immediately cleaning departments and kitchen of the work places instead of firing them. Jae-rin never lost his job and retired two years ago with a fat pension plan.

Namjoon himself offered Taehyung the job as his manager who gladly accepted it. Taehyung's family is the only one that he can actually count on in his life now.

"Hyung, the press conference will commence in ten minutes." Taehyung alarmed the elder who seemed lost in admiring the sky that looks painted with hues of orange and red at this hour of dusk.
"I will be there, Tae." Namjoon confirmed without turning towards the other which made the later walk towards his boss near the window.
"What is it hyung?" Taehyung asked doubtfully as he was certain that it was neither any of his parents' birthday nor any significant day that Namjoon usually celebrates by visiting their tombstones.

"My parents' marriage was fully arranged but they fell in love and had the best years together before my mother passed away. But I really loved Sa-ra. She was the loveliest girl I met in college but now- why everything had to change, Taehyung?" Namjoon tightened his grip on the wall recalling all the arguments and betrayal he faced at the hands of his now separated ex-wife.

"She did what did, hyung. It's of no use to think about it now. Director Bong Joon-ho is really excited and looking forward to the new project. As he discussed with you, he is going to cast Lee Jong-suk and Lee Ji-eun aka IU as the lead pair. They are currently the hottest power couple in the country and fans will go crazy at the announcement after today's press conference. Let's look forward to that." Taehyung patted on the elder's shoulder.

"Don't tell anyone but they are planning to tie the knot after completion of this project." Namjoon said with a deep sigh.
"Wow! That's a great news, hyung! But why do you sound so dull? Aren't you happy?"
"I am happy for them, Tae. But, when they will invite me, I will already be a divorced man with no one to attend their wedding with."

Taehyung started chuckling softly at the insolvable problem that the elder just expressed his concern about.
"Why are you laughing like that?"
"Oh hyung! You just cracked me up! We will get a good date for you else you can take that phone cover guy with you if you would still be banging him by then." Namjoon rolled his eyes at the younger's words.

"I think he will be happily married or in a committed relationship by then. He would also get bored of me someday." Namjoon walked towards his desk and checked something on the laptop.
"I will find a good woman for you, or if you want to swing the other way, then maybe a man. How old is this twinkie by the way."

"I told you his name is Jungkook, don't call him with weird names, Tae. He is 27, currently working with his father."

********

"Hey! Where's the phone cover I got you?" Asked the best friend of Jungkook.
"Hobi hyung, I left it somewhere by mistake. I will take it back, don't worry." Jungkook responded while avoiding his friend's gaze.

Jung Hoseok, 30, a popular choreographer, is the high school senior of Jungkook who eventually became his best friend despite of the age gap between the two. He is the son of the editor-in-chief of a popular newspaper, Jung Ha-min and his ex-wife. Hoseok's parents got divorced when he was 17 citing irreconcilable differences. It was a shockingly strange matter for their son as he never for once did he see them fighting. Hoseok got married to his high school girlfriend since middle school Ryeon last year.

Reading the twitches in his best friend's lips and the fiddling of his fingers, Hoseok understood what the case might have been.
"So, who's she?"
"What?" Jungkook's asked wide eyed.
"The new girlfriend that you got, whose place you left the phone cover at." Hoseok asked folding his arms at his chest. Currently, they were catching up over dinner after two months in a five star restaurant.

"She's just someone I bumped into in a party." Jungkook said confidently hiding his uneasiness at the lies he was making up.
"Woah! I hope it lasts more than a month, Kook. I feel like you should stop playing around and settle for someone whom you actually feel emotionally connected with. You were so shy and introvert, even three years ago. How did you suddenly change so much?"

Jungkook knew the answer to his friend's questions, but being truthful in delivering the answers can cost him huge.
"I will see on that Hobi hyung."

After the dinner was over and he waved goodbye to Hoseok, he took out his phone from the pocket to find a text from a number that he saved a 'He'.

Hey! Had a hectic day. How was yours? Shall I go to sleep or wait to have the privilege of something more?

The corny and flirty text spurred the hormones inside his body to rush resulting to the prompt reply.

I will be there in 10.
