Are you guys into one-shots?

I have seen some of my author friends writing them and I feel so inspired by their work. Honestly, the ideas I have are not fit for one-shot stories, but I want to make it something like inspired from some particular movie scene or series or any story or poem. I will keep the references mentioned at the end of each story.

What do you guys think? Will you read them if I write Namkook one-shots?

During the finalisation of budget and other relevant arrangements, director Joon-ho suggested Min Yoongi's name for the music production of his new movie that will be produced under the banner of Kim Productions. The name was a favourite of the lead actors due to which the name surpassed all other nominated music producers.

"Hyung, they want Min Yoongi to be the music director of the movie. Everyone has agreed but as you were not in the meeting today, it couldn't be finalised. I took care of other things but this one's a new clause, so it has to be approved by you." Taehyung mentioned to his boss handing the iPad with the soft copy of the drafted papers.
"He is indeed the best, Tae. I don't have any objection to this great idea and please make it clear that Min Yoongi will be the one to decide who will be singing the songs in the movie. I don't want the director to interfere in that department. I trust on the music producer's discretion."

"Noted!" Taehyung went to his own cabin adjoining Namjoon's and finished the drafted copies and sent the relevant parties over email keeping Namjoon in copy. After completely the work, he thought of checking on the elder as he has been lost in thoughts for quite some days now.

"Do you want to have dinner with us, hyung? I mean at home? With my parents?" Taehyung asked sitting on the chair across Namjoon's. The offer was too sweet to reject, accepting it would be the best option for Namjoon as he is so fond of Taehyung's parents who have been nothing but like his own parents when he needed them the most. He still credits Jae-rin and his wife Shin-ah for his success as they showed him the correct path without getting distracted or spoiled by the immense amount of wealth that Namjoon's family left for him.

"That sounds great! I miss eomoni's cooking so much." He turned off the laptop showing his dimpled smile.
"That's settled then, let's go hyung." Taehyung stood up and left the office followed by Namjoon.

"What is it that's bothering you, hyung?"

Dinner was over, now Namjoon and Taehyung were chilling out in Namjoon's old room where he used to live after his father's death. Shin-ah decorated the room as per the aesthetic sense of the boy she calls as her elder son.

"Eomoni hasn't changed anything in this room."
"How can she? It was her favourite child's room after all." Taehyung mockery made a chuckle escape from the elder's lips.
"It was in this room that I would talk to Sa-ra over phone for hours. Remember how you used to spy on me if I was talking to some drug dealer?"
The old memories started gushing out carrying both the males in down memory lane.

"Hyung, next hearing is on next Monday. Mr. Park said he got to know from his sources that the opponent is setting up a strong allegation of infidelity against you. I hope they don't drag your twinkie in it." Taehyung's serious tone was contradicting the word he used to describe Jungkook.
"Tae! He's Jungkook and it's over now. So, I don't think they will find anything."

Taehyung was shocked to be unaware of the latest news on Namjoon's personal life.
"Over as in?"
"I think I kind of told him how I am still waiting for a chance to get my wife back as I still love her. He said he felt like I am cheating on her with him, so he didn't want to continue our little adventure and I realised he was right. So, in a nutshell, we're not gonna be anything anymore." Namjoon took a puff of the cigarette and passed it on to Taehyung who took it.

"He's smart I would say, but are you okay? I mean you seemed really happy with whatever you had with him." Taehyung tried to explain with hand gestures gaining a punch on his shoulder.
"Oww! I'm just saying!"
"He needs someone to have a stable relationship with. Poor guy still couldn't come out to his parents or anyone around him. He's scared of being disowned by his own family."

Namjoon put out the cigarette butt when Taehyung passed it to him for next round of smoke recalling Jungkook's preventive action.
"Do you like him?"
"I don't, I mean he is a nice guy, but not like that."
"Have you ever been with any man before Jungkook?"
"No, never felt like it was my area of expertise, to be honest Sa-ra is the only person I ever felt romantically attracted to. I fell in love with her and that was 'it' for me. Jungkook needs someone who is certain of his feelings for him, not someone to just have wild sex with."

"Ewww! It was wild?" Taehyung projected his head with big round eyes towards Namjoon.
"I shouldn't be sharing details with you, but I explored a different side of myself when I was with him. He looks like a little muscular fitness freak, but there's actually a sweet and innocent person hidden inside. He deserves love, not just sex."

Taehyung sighed deeply after processing all the words of his boss. Being a homosexual himself, he knew how hard it is to come out. Thankfully, he has supportive parents but not all parents are same. He genuinely felt bad for Jungkook even thought he has never seen or met him in person.

Jun-ho placed a bowl of soup dumplings on the table in Jungkook's bedroom. Whenever the kids don't attend dinner, he is the one to bring food to the boys. Now, he has only Jungkook left with him as he feels like he himself has pushed Seokjin away from him with his hurtful words.

"Kookie, eat it. Why didn't you have dinner with us?" He went to sit at the edge of the bed as Jungkook was lying down covering himself with blanket on the middle of the bed.
"Dad, I'm not hungry." He said without raising his head.
"It's been two days that you are skipping meals. It's not healthy, son. Is there anything else that's bothering you?" Jun-ho placed his hand on the covered shoulder of his son.

"It's just work, dad. You gave me so many responsibilities that I am feeling a bit exhausted." It wasn't a lie, but that wasn't the complete truth either.
"Oh! I didn't realise that, Kookie. Please don't feel pressured, son. Let me know whenever you feel I am burdening you."
"Thanks dad, but it's okay." Jungkook didn't want his father to dig deeper into the actual problem.

"Then please eat something." The younger sat up and took the bowl with a smile making his father's heart fill with relief that his son will not sleep hungry today.

"Did you meet Hoseok two days back?"
"Yes, we had so much of catching up to do. You know, Ryeon noona got a new dog and it only listens to her instructions. One day it even tried to bite Hobi hyung." Jungkook chuckled at his own words as he could picture the scene in his mind. Jae-rin joined too.

"Anything about families? Did he ask about us or did you ask him about his father?" Jae-rin asked with some secretive intention.
"Yeah, we did talk about you oldies."
"Hey! We aren't old!" Jungkook laughed out at his father's complaint.

"So, how is his father. What was his name, I forgot."
"It's Jung Ha-min, dad and why do you keep forgetting his name every time? Uncle Jung is such a nice person. You know he was disappointed as you couldn't make it to Hobi hyung's wedding." Jungkook bit on a dumpling with his bunny teeth without giving attention to his father's face.

"Did he ask about me?"
"Of course he did, dad."

"Anyway, I will leave now. Have a good night Kookie."
"Good night dad."

The night sky knew, Namjoon wasn't the only one who was sad to think of a lost love. Someone might have been carrying that baggage for decades.
