Chapter 33: "I love your son"

Severe tensed situation warmed up the room making Namjoon undo the topmost button of his formal shirt. It took him back to his business school times when he would be stressed out during presentations and viva, except, today the questions were trickier. He kept staring at the closed door but there was no magical flow of breeze that could twist the knob of it.

"I've asked him to stay in his own room while we talk, Mr. Kim."

The demeanour of Jeon Jun-ho was quite calm and polite but Namjoon knew he would not be the same when it comes to his son's life. Right now, the production house owner is sitting in the study of Jun-ho in the Jeon residence while Jungkook was waiting for them in his room. Staying together for next six months to protect their relationship from Sa-ra's wicked watch indirectly meant moving in together as boyfriends. This surely needed the parents' approval as Jungkook would want it.

"That's okay, sir. I guess Jungkook already told you everything about our situation."
"He did! It's tough to let my son go like this but I would never object to anything if my kids are happy in it. I have done some unforgivable mistakes in case of my eldest child, but that won't be repeated for my youngest. However, I need to make sure my child is safe with you with your ex-wife and his present boyfriend living under the same roof, Mr. Kim."

"Please call me Namjoon, sir. And yes, I understand your concern as a parent but I promise to protect him at all costs. He won't be shedding a single drop of tear under my care."

Jun-ho smiled at the other's words that expressed how deep his feelings were for the elder's son but he wasn't going to let Namjoon win over right away. Pulling the parent card, he proceeded to ask some unanticipated question.

"So, Namjoon, what's your future equation with my son? If he's staying with you dressed up a woman and that too like an employee, I don't believe the other members of your family are going to treat him with respect. He doesn't deserve that being the heir of Jeon Corporation."

"I am an orphan, sir. I lost my loving parents a long time back and I only have three other people in my family who happen to be my assistant and his parents. They don't live with me and they all have met Jungkook and took instant liking towards him. The people you are referring to as my family, are not related or remotely associated with my family. I'm just a victim of their conspiracy but your son is who I see as my immediate family in the future."

Jun-ho's jaw dropped at the stern answer of the young business tycoon who just admitted the most committing position of Jungkook in his life.

"What do you mean?"
"I love your son and I intent to marry him in future."

The nervous fidgeting fingers of the younger were kept calm and unmoved while answering to Jun-ho looking straight in his eyes. There was no blink of eyelids setting forth the level of seriousness that his words held.

"I have no words, Namjoon. Just take care of my Kookie."

The love and affection Jun-ho had for his kids were limitless but today, for a tiny second, he felt envious of his own son. At the back of his head, he wanted Ha-min to be this bold and straight to his father for convincing how madly he was in love with Jun-ho.

"So, is that a yes, sir?" Namjoon asked with the nervous movement of hands again.
"Yes." The man smiled.
"Please don't tell him I told you all these. I haven't told him yet and I want to do it in my own way, please!" Namjoon joined his palms together to plead to the man for keeping this conversation a secret as he is yet to confess everything to his boyfriend.
