Certain frown and scoff from the woman didn't bother the young man as he hugged his father dearly at the breakfast table. He was full from Namjoon's cooking adventure but sipping on a cup of coffee with his parents won't be a bad idea. He changed to his formal clothes and made sure to button up the collar to hide all the impressions of Namjoon's lips and teeth on his neck before appearing in front of the Jeon couple.

"Good morning dad!"
"Good morning my Kookie!"

"Please! He's 27 already. Stop calling him with that baby name, he's not 5 anymore, Jun-ho." Jinah was way too irritated by the childish interaction of the father-son duo.
"Even if he's 60, he will still be my little boy, Jinah." Jun-ho waived off her disgusted expression with a chuckle.

"Good morning mom!" Jungkook wished his mother in a more formal tone as his adoring gestures were never welcomed to her since childhood.
"Good morning Kook. Heard you have been spending too much time with some friend. Who's that?" Her style of interrogation was always like those of a detective.
"Just a friend from college. He was in London and shifted here few days back, so helping him with the house and everything." Jungkook prepared this piece of lie way ahead of time.

"Anyway, mom and dad, I have something very exciting news to share with you guys." His eyes almost got closed at the intense of his smile showing nothing but excitement.
"What is it Kookie?" Jun-ho asked being interested receiving a judgy look from his wife at the repetition of their son's childhood name.

"It's about Hobi hyung and Ryeon noona. They are having a baby and I am going to be an uncle!" He said clapping cheerfully.
"Wow! Congratulations! At least some people are having a normal family." Jinah said with a less bitter smile this time although the lamentation she is harbouring for not getting a grandchild from Seokjin still kills her inside.

Jun-ho, on the other hand, was almost starstruck at the news. His eyes were filled with surprise and happiness, but failed to say something.
"Dad, what do you think?" Jungkook asked being disappointed at his father's less excited face.
"I- I thi-think it's great! It's a very good news, Kookie. I will send something for them as my blessings." He forced a smile and excused himself in the name of feeling unwell. He even mentioned to take a sick leave today before leaving. Jungkook offered to stay back but due to some important meetings, he couldn't.

Once Jungkook left for office and Jinah drove off to the nearby shopping mall, Jun-ho locked the door of his room that he shares with his wife. He untied the necktie as he wasn't going to office but the formal shirt and pants were retained. With some hesitant steps, he opened his side of the wardrobe and unlocked the safe.

A grey coloured cloth was taken out that was knotted up like a bag. Closing the wardrobe door, he walked to the bed and sat while untying the knot. A bunch of letters, both received and unsent were laid on the bed. There was a photograph peeking through the gap of one brown envelope which Jun-ho picked up.

"Congratulations hyung! You're going to be a grandfather soon. You're growing old." The corner of the old photograph was wiped to clean the drop of liquid falling on it out of the holder's eyes.
"You remember this picture? You were so happy to be selected in the first round of interview. Sorry I wasn't good in photography else I would have captured that moment precisely. You promised to buy me a new camera after saving up for it. Why didn't I ever get that camera?"
