"I think we should consider the bigger picture now."
"What do you mean?"
"A burden is all I have been to you, dear. It's time I should let you go out of this relationship which is nothing but a fake show to satisfy the society's eyes."

The injured hand started bleeding as Jungkook gripped on Namjoon's arm tightly trying to escape the thought of seeing his parents separated. They have never projected themselves as an ideal couple but not as one who would consider this dissociation either.

Namjoon adjusted the bandage made out of his handkerchief on the younger's hand but Jungkook's actual pain lied in front of his eyes. All the inappropriate actions executed on him few minutes ago seemed insignificant to him at the more concerning information.

"You are my wife, Jinah. I cannot-" Jun-ho entered into a shocked stupor at the request when he got cut off by the woman, "Have I ever performed any duty as your life partner?"

Getting silence as response, Jinah smiled at her husband that might have been the most genuine one she has ever displayed in front of her family.

"It was all about the bad things I ever did. I boasted about Jinnie being so nice and my favourite child yet I applied such horrible curseful words on him just because he was in love with a man. I never asked Kookie what he wants, all I wanted was for him to fit in my perfect child's frame. I will forever be thankful to you for raising my children with such great care and kindness, Jun-ho. You deserve to be the best father while I have earned a title of the worst mother in the world." She wiped her tears with fingers.

"Mom, please!" Jungkook shouted out not liking how his mother was spitting the truth about herself because he has always loved her no matter how ignorant she has been towards him and his brother.

"See!" Jinah pointed at her son while smiling at her husband. "This is what I mean to say, Jun-ho. I hit him, I even wanted to lock him inside but he is not ready to accept the harsh reality about his mother. Thank you for raising my kids, our kids the right way. They are both kind and humble, something that I could've never taught them even if I tried to."

Jungkook kept crying because he still pictures the lady in their family frame. He is not ready to let her go. Namjoon side hugged him but didn't speak out a word as no consolation is enough for a kid to get convinced that life is going to be same after their parents' separation.

"Jinah, I didn't want anything from you except for being the mother of my children. I cannot change the past but maybe there is some hope that you will be a good parent to them." Jun-ho said holding her hands with teary eyes.

"I promise you that, Jun-ho. But this will not change my decision. Not just our children, I want you to find your true love too. You will always find me as a friend whenever you need, but I should repent for my past actions. I will arrange everything for the legal separation." She gave one last hug to her husband.

"My father left an apartment on my name, I will shift there by next month." She mentioned to which obvious objections were received from Jun-ho and Jungkook but this time her words and expressions only indicated of truthfulness and laments.

"I'm sorry for misbehaving with you, Mr. Kim. But I'm well aware of your ongoing divorce, please don't let my son suffer because of it." She turned to Namjoon saying with sudden maternal worries surfacing up.
"I would never, Mrs. Jeon."

"I didn't expect we will meet in such unfortunate circumstances, Mr. Kim. I will stop breathing if you ever hurt my Kookie." Jun-ho said in a calm yet threatening voice that had worry mixed into it.
"My heart will stop pumping if he gets hurt, sir." Namjoon's confident and immediate response brought smile in both the elders' faces.
