Aria kept the plate filled with food in front of him and sat in front of him.

She looked at him as he ate his food. He seemed very much hungry, finishing within few minutes he looked up.

"Can I get some more?...." He asked in coy. Aria smiled and took his plate and got up.

Refilling his plate with rice and some Indian gravy and gave him.

The first thing he asked after freshening up was food.

After finishing up, Nathaniel got up and took his plate and gone to towards the sink. Aria watched as he moved as if he knew the place like the back of his hand.

She watched as he washed his plates and kept it beside the sink.

She looked at him as he made his towards her and took her hand in his and took her to the living room.

Settling her on the couch, he kneeled in front of her.

All this time Aria didn't say anything, giving him space to speak.

Nathaniel stared at their hands and joined together, feeling her warmness in his cold hands.

Kissing her hand, he looked up at her.

"I'm sorry....." He finally said.

"And for what?" She replied.

"I kept you waiting for two weeks without any reason."

"Where were you all this time?..." She asked him. She watched as he took his time and replied to her.

"My father died recently...."

Aria gasped in shock, immediately apologizing for the way she behaved.

Oh god.....I blamed him for no reason.

"It's okay, it's not like you knew." He chuckled looking away.

Aria cupped his face and looked in his eyes with concern.

"Are you okay?... "

Nathaniel felt his heart beat fasten as he looked in her eyes. The concern in them made him happy, made him feel like he wasn't alone.

Aria took his hands and made him lay down on the couch and carefully layed her head on his chest.

Nathaniel was stunned with her actions, he was bewildered to act. But it also felt like she belong in his arms. She lay on his chest like she was used to it.

Wrapping his arms around her, Nathaniel felt something he always yearned. Peace.

He wished to always hold her like this. Forever and ever.

Taking her hand in his, he kissed it again.

"My father....was never a good man." He said.

"He always used to come home and abuse my mother and I. And my mother never liked me. She hated that I reminded her of him. So she always ignored my existence, whenever I came near her she used to push me away like I'm dirt."

"They always used to fight, father never gave her any money or provided her with anything and she couldn't handle all of this, so she killed herself...."

Aria hugged him tightly as if comforting him.

"It wasn't like I was close to her, she hated me and when she died I didn't feel anything I was only seven to understand all this." He said chuckling at his own words.

"My father got remarried within a year. He married one of the women who got herself pregnant with his child. Her name was Elizabeth Peggy Carter. I used to call her mom. My mom, she loved me like her own child. She taught how a mother should love her child, she taught me about how beautiful life can be with someone you love. As a eight year old, everything felt perfect for me. I had a loving mom who saved me from my dad, who cooked me delicious food, didn't starve me like my original one. I was happy. But they say nothing stays forever...I still remember that day like yesterday..." Nathaniel stared up towards the ceiling, his throat tighten to say the next words. He gulp hard feelings his heart squeeze with pain.
