"Why are you ignoring me?"
Aria couldn't understand his behaviour, after what he has done, it should be her who should be angry at him not the other way around.
She still couldn't take in the fact he vomited blood. The images of him vomiting were still fresh in her mind, she couldn't just ignore and focus somewhere.
The way his hands were shaking he could barely hold the spoon. But still choose not to ask for any help from her, in fact he ignored her as if she is someone else.
"I am not ignoring you, I am just late for work." He replied coldly.
"Stop lying!!" She exaggerated.
Nathaniel's scoffed, "I am not Aria, stop assuming things."
"Will you stop calling me that!!"
"What?"
She looked down avoiding his eyes and mumbled, "By my name. Don't call me by my name.....it makes me feel like I am nothing to you."
Nathaniel's eyes soften when he heard those words. He never wants her to feel that, but unintentionally he made her feel it.
He's ashamed to face her, after what he has done though he don't remember much, the small glimpse of yesterday his mind have were enough to let him know that he has fucked up.
"I didn't mean it that way..." He mumbled softly.
They stared deeply in each other's eyes, Nathaniel could stare in her eyes for eternity, it made him feel like he belong somewhere deep in her heart. She has given him a shelter inside her heart, that alone makes him the happiest man in the whole universe.
But today, after hurting her, he couldn't look in her eyes without feeling guilty.
"Nathaniel....talk to me, don't ignore me. If we don't talk our issues out it will never let us be together." She continued.
"I mean it when I said I'll wait for you, no matter what I am here, I won't leave you alone. We're together no matter how lost we become. We'll stay together." She exclaimed.
Nathaniel couldn't explain what he's feeling at the moment, the fact even after seeing everything she's saying she'll stay has stirred unknown emotions inside his heart.
She could've easily run away knowing he might bring her trouble but she chose to stay with him makes him delighted.
There have been many people in his life that were just present but were never there for him. There are many people who said 'I'm here for you' to him but Aria's words were seemed more genuine to him than anyone else.
He still finds it hard to believe, that she said that. Maybe she's lying, just like others.
He was never the lucky one in the matter of love, his mother hated him, blamed him for her misery, his father hated him. But when someone finally loved him his father killed her making him resent the whole world, and when his father finally realised his love for his son it was too late.
After Peggy's death everything seemed to make him feel like he doesn't belong anywhere, no one was there to hold him, ask him his pain, ask him his struggles, no one.
But Aria seems to love changing his perspective about everything. She's changing him without knowing herself. Nathaniel couldn't understand if he should hate her or to think she's stupid to wait for someone like him.
"D-do you.....do you m-mean it?" He stuttered.
Aria sighed and cupped his cheeks and nodded her head, Nathaniel breath hitched when she got closer, gently kissing his lip.
Nathaniel couldn't believe it, it was the first time she ever intiated to do something intimate, she never did anything intimate without him initiating first.
He felt nervous as she kissed him, his heart paced as he watched her closing her eyes, standing on her toes to be equal to him, her hands gently holding back of his hairs as she slid her tongue inside his mouth.
He couldn't grasp the moment, one moment they were talking and the other she was kissing him. he stood still, with this behaviour of his which made Aria whine softly, taking his hands and wrapping them around her waist, kissing him.
Aria broke the kiss and looked in his eyes, she tried her best to make him feel better, hoping he would understand what she wanted to say to him.
Nathaniel could feel his eyes forming tears, he gulped feeling his throat tighten. He sniffled making Aria wrap her arms around his neck as she looked at him worriedly.
"I-I'm s-sorry.... I-I'm so sorry..." He whispered as tears fell from his eyes. He hugged her tightly crying his heart out.
Aria gulped feeling her throat tighten as she got overwhelm with emotions, she hugged him back feeling her eyes wet.
The whole room was resonating with his cries, buring his face in her neck, he cried.
Aria watched him as he poured all his emotions, she knew his been struggling but she never knew he was struggling with so many things. It made her realise how ignorant she's been to him.
After having a tough childhood, watching his mother die in his arms, becoming an orphan at a young age, then being addicted to alcohol, later trying to leave it, it wasn't easy for him. His cries were not just about his yesterday's behaviour, he was crying for everything he's been through as a little boy, crying for what he's been through as a young boy which soon with sorrow and tiredness turned into a man who was surviving like every other good one out there who were, just like him were fighting for a life they dream of.
Aria slowly broke the hug and wiped his tears with her shirt sleeves and took his hand and went to bed, sniffling Nathaniel followed her.
Aria sat on bed and made him lay his head on her lap, Nathaniel stared at her as she played with his hair making him feel drowsy.
"Angel.....I'm sorry again." He whispered, feeling his eyes heavy. Aria smiled and said.
"Sleep darling, you need rest. I'll be here when you wake up."

I hate life. I'm tired of living it.
I hate that it's always good and bad together...why can't it be good and good together??
Watching your mother cry because of other people makes you realise how unfair the world is when you know your mother is nothing but an innocent person.
Anyways, it's a short chapter but I will publish the next one a little longer.
