Nathaniel after struggling a lot opened his eyes, his whole body ached. He was still bleeding heavily and that made him unable to move.

His eyes fell in front. He grunted when he saw him hitting her, his hits held so much brutality that looking at it made him wince. Nathaniel watched how she screamed in pain as her body bleed. He wanted to move, he wanted to kill him slowly so that he should feel the same pain she is feeling. But as if he lost all his body control, he couldn't move at all.

As if he lost all his hearing, his left ear lost all its hearing he couldn't hear anything. Her screams felt deaf to his ears, her cries felt deaf to him. Just her dreadful eyes screamed for help. Help from him.

Nathaniel groaned trying to move his body but shots of pain ran throughout his body making him helpless. He was laying in the pool of his own blood, he looked down and found his leg trapped inside a foothold trap binding him in place.

His leg was numb due to so much blood loss his head ached making him dizzy. He grunted trying to move.

Hearing his painful grunts, William looked towards him and grinned. The grin looked creepy and psychotic that can shudder anyone by just looking. He is enjoying the pain he is giving.

Nathaniel glared at him angrily as he came near him.

"Ah... finally you're awake. I was thinking about when you will wake up and join my small party." He grinned like a Cheshire cat. "It felt lonely to celebrate alone," he pouted. "But now that you're awake, the celebration begins!!" He laughed.

"Fucking bastard!!" Nathaniel yelled at his face. He tried to free himself from the damn tape but it's wrapped so tightly around his wrist that his hands have turned white due to lack of blood supply.

His head hurt as he looked at him. It felt difficult to move with the foothold trap, everything was painful. His left ear felt like it lost all its hearing power.

William smirked and said, "What happened? I am just behaving nice with you? You're so mean...no wonder she left you.." He whispered the last sentence, Nathaniel clenched his jaw at his words.

He could hear Aria whimpering at the back, her cries were echoing in the room. Her cries were calling for his help.

He didn't keep his promise. The promise to protect her.

He once again lost.

William grabbed his hair and made him look his way, "What? What are you looking at?? Huh!?" He glared, fisting his hair hard.

Nathaniel didn't reply but just glared back.

"Eyes down." William said, but he didn't budge.

"I said, eyes down."

"I SAID EYES DOWN!!!" He yelled. Nathaniel didn't look down.

William clenched his jaw and got up angrily. His nose flared in anger as he started looking around for something.

Nathaniel looked back at Aria only to find her already looking at him. She looked so vulnerable and weak. She was shaking in fear as tears fell from her eyes.

Her eyes looked at him with so much hope, hope that he will save her. She looked at him with the confidence of knowing that no matter what he would save her. And that scared and broke him.

The thought of not coming up to that hope, scared him.

But what broke him was even after all the disappointment he gave her, she still trusts him with all her life.

Those eyes reminded him of her. Reminded him of his failure.

But this time he won't let his fear win. If she's confident that he can save her then he's too. He will save her.
