"Oo, so warm," Aiko whispered as she put on the winter version of her costume, which was essentially the same on the outside, just better insulated on the inside.
Class A then walked out toward Ground Gamma, remembering what Aizawa had told them about what they were doing today. Aiko locked eyes with Monoma for a moment before lowering her gaze. "Alright, today we are doing training battles of Class A versus Class B," Vlad King announced.
"Um sir," Monoma put his hand up and said with a cocky voice, "Class A has 21 students, whereas we only have 20. How are we supposed to battle them fairly when they have such a clear advantage?"
Aizawa stepped forward, "We took that into account, and so we invited someone else to fight with Class B. This is also working in this student's favor."
The ground clicked as another person approached. Aiko looked over to see a familiar face, Hitoshi Shinso. They locked eyes for a moment, and he looked away quickly. "Just so you know, I have no intention of making friends," he stated.
Haru laughed, "Yeah right, Aiko said that and ended up making friends with people in this class like the first two weeks of school."
Aiko blushed and shot him a glare. They then all pulled a ball to decide their teams, and Aiko ended up on a team with Midoriya, Uraraka, Mina, and Mineta. "So we're the five-person group going against Shinso, huh?" Aiko remarked.
They started the class with Kaminari and Kirishima's group going first. "Alright Kiri! Let's go Kami!" Aiko cheered as they were walking toward the arena.
Both boys smiled at her and felt a little brighter going into their battle. Aiko watched and was glad they outsmarted the other group, sealing the first win for Class A. "Alright Class A represent!" Haru exclaimed as Kirishima and the others returned.
"Hey uh Deku says we should work on a strategy," Uraraka said as she approached.
"Okay," Aiko said as she collected Mina.
They walked over and met with Mineta and Midoriya. "So, what's the plan?" Aiko asked.
"Well, what I have isn't the most concrete, but it involves us splitting up from the get-go. We have two threats for brainwashing, seeing as Monoma can copy Shinso's quirk," Midoriya explained, "So Gessei, I will handle Monoma if you can handle Shinso. You three can handle the other three."
Everyone nodded and Aiko asked, "Why do you want me against Shinso?"
"Well," Midoriya started, pulling out his journal, "Shinso's quirk can be undone by being snapped out of it from enough physical force, so Haru can hit you and you'll come back, that or he can possess your body for a moment til you come back," Midoriya reasoned, "Although, it would be best if it didn't come to that, and you didn't get brainwashed at all."
Aiko agreed, but thought it best to check that the teachers approved of Haru's involvement. "It's only fair in this game, seeing as everyone has all of their support gear and there aren't really any rules," Aizawa stated, "Just make sure you're responsible with it and he isn't in control the whole exercise."
Then Vlad King announced, in a very biased way, that Class B had won the match. Aiko caught Todoroki's eye as he walked toward the arena for his own match. "Todo!" Aiko called as she approached, "Good luck! I know you'll kick all their butts!"
Todoroki nodded at her before walking away, a lot seeming to be on his mind. They watched the match, Aiko's eye lingering on the screen featuring Todoroki. He first struck by freezing everyone, which led to everyone being split up. He got stuck with Tetsutetsu, getting the shit beat out of him. "Come on..." she muttered, watching their exchange.
