Racheal's POV
The sound of someone talking around me sounded through my ear, but I couldn't hear whatever they were saying and I didn't want to here. The duvet draped over my body was ripped off leaving me bare as the cold winter air made contact with my skin. A groan passed my lips as I adjusted myself on the bed and went back to sleep.
"Wake up" someone screamed in my ears making me jump up with a gasp. I looked around me for any form of danger but found none. I sighed and turned my gaze to my roommate who was staring at me with a wicked smirk on her face.
"Time to get ready" she sang
"Go away" i scowled at her and laid back on the bed.
"Fine have it your way" she said and before I could comprehend what was happening, I was wincing in pain. The fool jumped on me.
"Get off" I said but she didn't budge. "Fine I'm up you win" I said and she got up with a grin.
I threw her a glare and headed of to the bathroom to take a shower.
I stripped off my clothes and turned on the shower. I stepped in letting the water cool my tense muscles. I shampooed my hair, washed it off, conditioned it and washed it off as well.
I lathered my body with soap, washed it off turned off the shower and stepped out.
I stepped back into the room to find Lizzie my roommate perched on my bed as she scrolled through her phone.
I moisturized my body slipped on baggy cargo pants, a black cropped top with a black cropped sleeved zip up sweater to top it all.
I blow dried my curly afro hair so it could dry faster fixed my nose and navel piercing, wore my air Jordan's and I was good to go.
I packed a few notes into my bag before heading to the kitchen filled my water bottle, carried a few snacks, grabbed our key off the counter and walked out the door with Lizzie walking aimlessly behind me with her full concentration on her phone.
We went over to her car and got in. When she was done with texting whoever she was talking to, she threw a smile at me before inserting the car and driving out of the yard of our small apartment.

We parked in the parking lot of Dukes university and got out. Weaving through the mass of students littered everywhere as we made our way to our choreography studio. We made it to the entrance and stepped into the studio to find a few other dancers already there either doing some stretches, practicing dance moves or just chilling.
I sat on the ground dumping my back beside me and leaned on the wall staring at everyone around me before pulling out my phone and scrolled aimlessly on insta.
A few minutes later our dance teacher finally decided to grace us with her presence.
"Attention. Everyone as you all know tomorrow is going to be a big day for us" Madam Louise voice echoed through the quiet studio.
"Tomorrow, you all will be performing for the first time for an audience" she said gorging our reactions. When she means audience she means the entire university.
"You all have worked hard right from day one so I have no doubt that you all will do amazing I wish all the best for tomorrow" she said with a smile.
"Now let's begin to your places everyone" she said clapping her arms. Everyone immediately moved to their position as the intro of the music played and we got to work.
*
"That was amazing, that will be all for today" she said dismissing us "don't forget to get some exercise, eat well and get a good rest Tomorrows a big day" she said as we dispersed."Racheal can I talk to you for a minute?" she said and I nodded immediately making my way over to her.
"Hey you good?" She asked and I nodded.
"You are gonna be great tomorrow, don't let what happened in the past hinder you from achieving your dreams, you're better than that" she said giving me a weak smile and I returned it with one of my own.
"Here, hand out these flyers for the show tomorrow" she said handing me a handful of flyers "sure" I said giving her a smile.
I walked out of the studio to find Lizzie leaning on the wall with my bag in hand.
"Thanks" I muttered grabbing it from her. I handed her some of the flyer and we immediately got to work.
It didn't take long and in the span of fifteen minutes, we handed out all the flyers.
"How are you so calm?" Lizzie asked as we made our way to her car. I raised an eyebrow at her to elaborate not really understanding what she asked.
"Tomorrow is the first day we're actually coming out to show ourself's at Duke. It's nerve wrecking but you look calm" she said and I could tell she was scared.
As Dukes first ever choreography class, it comes with a lot of expectations as we've been covered for like two semesters now with the claim of us not being ready, Just practicing.
Most students didn't even know they were choreography students till I handed out the flyers.
"I don't know I just am" I said with a shrug and she narrowed her eyes at me. "It's gonna be fine you're gonna be great" I said giving her a smile as I wrapped my arms around her she chuckled and did the same.
