Racheal POV
I place the phone on my ear hearing it ring as i clutched the paper in my hand.

"Social state security service, your safety is our priority. My name is Trisha how may I help you? " A soothing female voice said from the other side.

"Hi my name's Racheal and I would like to get an inbuilt home security system" I say as I stare down at the flyer on my hands.

Earlier today madam Louis gave me this flyer for a security company and told me to get a security system, which come to think of it isn't a bad idea.

After giving them my address and every other necessary details needed they said they'll be here to set up around eight in the morning. Which is perfectly fine with me. The earlier the better.

I end the call place my phone beside me and just stare out my bedroom window which shows the sky has darkened.

"I guess grocery shopping has been postponed" I muttered standing up from the bed and drawing the curtains shut. I go around the house drawing up the curtains and making sure the doors and windows are closed properly.

I grab the diet cokes from the fridge and place them on the table in the living room, head back into my room grab a blanket and head back to the living room.

I take a seat on the couch wrapping the blanket around myself and turned on the tv.

*
The sound of my doorbell ringing awakens me. It's already morning I thought as I let out a small yawn as I stand up from the couch and make my way over to the door.
I push my curtain aside and peer through the window to see a lady and three men all wearing matching blue T-shirts with the company's name at the front.

I head over to the door remove the bolts and locks and pushed the door open. We exchanged pleasantries for a few minutes before letting them in so they could start up.

While they install the security system I clear up the couch and the table went into my room brought out my laptop and notes and decided to get some school work done.

The sound of a vehicle snapped me back to reality. I peer outside from my couch since my door is currently open cos of the security company team going back and forth.

I peer through from where I am seated on the couch and noticed a moving van sitting in front of my house.

I'm about to go tell the driver of the vehicle he's at the wrong address when Lizzie's mum and Douglas walks into the house.

I stand from the couch and go into the arms of Lizzie's mum in a warm embrace. "Studying hard I see" She says eyeing my books with a smile but I could see the sadness in her eyes.

"Hey Doggy" I said going over to give him a hug of his own. "That name is humiliating" he said ruffling my hair making me scowl.

"I'm sure you have a lot of school work to catch up to so we'll get right into business come on doggy" she said heading towards Lizzie's room.

"Not you too" he groaned trailing after her. I chuckled in amusement as I watched them disappear down the hall. I take a seat on the couch and dive right back into my work.

I sighed for what felt like the millionth time in a span of five minutes. I can't concentrate no matter how hard I try.

I sigh in resignation, dump my books beside my laptop and head towards Lizzie's room. I slow to a stop in front of Lizzie's door which is wide open and watch as Douglas and Lizzie's mum reminisce about lizzie with sad smiles on their faces.

"Racheal dear come in" Lizzie's mum greets cheerfully as she spots me by the door. "I wanted to ask if you needed anything" I say scratching the back of my neck.

"Nah we good" Douglas says placing some of Lizzie's books into a box.

"Lemme help" I say grabbing an empty box from the side of the door head over to Lizzie's dresser and begin placing her body cream and moisturizers gently into the box.

We all began to clear out Lizzie's room making lighthearted conversations.

By the time we have almost cleared out all of Lizzie's stuff I head back to the living room to check how the security system is coming.

I step into the living room to see the security company were doing the finishing touches on the security system. They begin to show me how it works.

The keyhole on my door was swapped for a keypad, they installed cameras around the house so if someone comes knocking all I need to do is check the little screen beside the door and I'll see who it is.

After a little test run to make sure everything was working fine I used my card to pay them and thanked them for their services as I escorted them out.

I waited for them to drive off before climbing up my front steps and went back into the house shutting the door behind me and sighed in contentment when it clicked shut on his own.

I step back into the room to see that Lizzie's mum and Douglas were done with clearing up Lizzie's room. I grab the tape off the bedside table and help them seal the boxes shut.

By the time we were done the moving company were already at the front door. Lizzie's mum went to let them in while me and Douglas carefully carried out the boxes from Lizzie's room and placed them in the hallway.

Six people from the moving company step into Lizzie's room exchange pleasantries with us and gets right to work. Two of them help us with carrying out the boxes and putting them into the moving truck while the other four carry out Lizzie's furnitures and place them in the moving truck.
