Racheal's POV
I felt my body heat under his gaze almost making me squirm.

He took a step forward closing the distance between us. His amazing shampoo and cologne filled my noise. I almost moaned in delight at how good he smelt.

"It's okay to be sad" he said placing his hand on my cheek and before I knew what I was doing I leaned into his touch. "Come you must be hungry" he said but before I could kindly object he already grabbed my hand and was leading me out of the room.

We stepped out of the hallway and into a huge living room. He tugged me to the side and took me into a huge L shaped kitchen with marbled counter.
He lifted me off the ground in one swift movement and placed me on a barstool by the counter. He stood behind me fiddling with my hair for a minute before going around the counter and stopped in front of the fridge.

He opened the fridge brought some eggs and placed them in a bowl while he grabbed some bread from the cabinet and put them in the toaster. While he was waiting for the bread to toast he whisked the eggs and turned it in the pan to fry.

I couldn't help but drool at him with the way his muscles flexed when he moved around the kitchen. The sight was heaven.

My food was placed in front of me. I gave him a thankful smile and dug in. "The cops want to get your statement. Are you okay with going today?" He asked gazing at me tenderly, which was weird coming from him cos he's always glaring or scowling anytime I saw him.

I sucked in a breath and mumbled a yes as reality slaps me in the face. He stared at me for a few seconds and opened his mouth about to say something but got interrupted by the sound of the front door opening and closing followed by the sound of voices.

"Vincy we're home" a ridiculously high pitched male voice screeched as Sarah and Cassie stepped into the kitchen along with two guys following behind them.

"Hello pretty lady" one of the boys slipped into the stool beside me. "Hi" I mumbled.

"The name's Mason, pleasure to meet you" he said taking my hand from my lap and was about to place a kiss on it but he's gaze shifted to something behind me and he dropped my hand back and flashed me a playful grin instead.

His name sounded familiar and after racking my brain for a few minutes I remembered Derek saying the party was thrown but a rich kid named mason.

"May I know the name of such a beautiful lady?" He asked pulling me out of my thoughts.

"You don't need to know her name so fuck off" Vincent growled from behind me as I felt his torso brush my back making me gasp at our closeness.

"Hey how you feeling?" Sarah asked with eyes full of sympathy. "If you need anything anything at all we're hear for you" Cassie said grabbing my hand and giving it a sympathetic squeeze. I threw them a weak smile and went back to pushing my food around the plate.

I felt someone's gaze on me and looked up to meet Vincent's pointed gaze, I huffed at him and took a bite.

I gazed back at my plate and looked back up to meet the gaze of the other boy leaning on the fridge with Sarah in his arms. The longer I stared at him the more familiar he looked before it finally clicked. He's Dukes star NBA football player with a huge number of girls fangirling over him. Gotta admit he does look kinda cute.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt cold fingers grasp my chin. I allowed the person turn my face from the football star to Vincent. "Don't stare at him stare at me instead" he said with a huge scowl. I rolled my eyes at him and looked back at my food and continued eating, listening and nodding my head as they talked.

When I was done, I hopped off the stool made my way around the counter and stood in front of the sink to wash my dishes.

I stiffened when I felt a presence behind me. "Let me" Vincent said grabbing the plate from my hands successfully trapping me between him and the sink. He grabbed the sponge from the side of the sink, scrubbed the plates and the other utensils he used while I stood there trying to behave like I wasn't affected by our close proximity. The way his lower body brushed my back and the way his biceps flexed when he moved.

He rinsed his large veiny hands and placed on both sides of the sink "you okay?" He whispered into my ear "yeah" I cleared my throat trying to clear my thoughts He chuckled and took a step back.

"Did you get it?" He asked. Cassie nodded and handed him something in a shopping bag. "Come" he said and went down the hall we came through before, I rolled my eyes behind his back but followed nevertheless.

He stepped back into the room I woke up in which I'm assuming is his. "The bathrooms over there" he tipped his chin to the door at the other side of the room. "Everything you need is there" he said dropping the shopping bag on the bed and walked out closing the door behind him.

I sighed as I was once again left alone with my consuming thoughts. I gave myself a little pep talk and dragged my body into the bathroom to take a shower.

I walked over to the mirror and nearly screamed at my reflection. I had huge bags under my eyes with puffy eyes from all the crying and my hair looks like a fucking birds nest. I'm surprised none of them screamed when they saw me.
