...༻❁🝮❁༺...

You had the biggest smile on your face as you walked to tobirama's house
"Why are you so happy?" Azumi asked as she held one of your fingers
"I'm seeing my big brother!" You grinned and reached out to open his door but as soon as you opened it, a metallic smell filled your nose

"Whats that smell?..." you asked as you peeked into the building
Your eyes widened in shock and you immediately ran into the house
"Mama?!" Azumi walked in after you and her eyes too, they got big ass they saw the house that was usually spotless turned into a bloodbath

Your knees were on the verge of buckling when all you could see was just bright red
"Tobirama?!" You called out as tears started brimming in your eyes

You held back sobs and opened the door to the last room
"Tobirama?" When you opened the door you saw him leaning against the wall all bloodied up and gasping for air
You scrambled to your feet and practically dove towards him
"I got you, I've got you Tobirama... I'll help you okay? Don't die on me" you said as you sobbed

You pressed your hands against his biggest wound and started healing it
His eyes were half lidded and you could tell his vision was hazy

His ribs were fractured, he had a punctured liver and his heart wasn't beating as it should
"What happened to you? Where's Hashirama?" You asked even though you knew he wouldn't answer as he couldn't
Tobirama's eye moved towards you and his eyes started getting watery

Your words were inaudible to him, his ears were ringing but just by the sight of you. He knew there was hope for him, but deep down he also knew he wouldn't make it

You finished with his wound and started healing his other injuries
"Don't die on me okay? I'll get you all healed up, you're gonna be fine"

Tears started falling from both yours and Tobirama's eyes, he wished that he could move his arm so that he could atleast give you a pat on the head or wipe away your tears

But just while he was crying, the corner of his mouth lifted into a smile. You had slipped out of his fingers so quick he barely even noticed you were a grown woman now, you had a husband and two kids that were already fifteen... he just couldn't be prouder, especially when you achieved such hard accomplishments when you started with nothing, nothing at all

You were one of the best medical experts in konoha and here you were, healing his wounds slower than you usually would because of how stressed you were

Tobirama felt his body getting lighter, he didn't know if it was your healing or just because his life was slipping away

Your hands trembled as they hovered over his last wound, they weren't all completely healed up but it was the best you could do
"Squirt" he croaked out, his voice raspier than ever but could you really blame him?
"Do you think-" he coughed out blood and you supported him, holding him close to you "- that I will survive?" You nodded your heads so many times

"You're strong, I know you will, okay? You'll make it I- I healed your wounds so you should be fine now... maybe just a little rest"

Tobirama closed his eyes as he relaxed into your hug, you were truly the only woman... no the only person he would let touch him in such an affectionate way. No one but you, his little sister

"Today, I was supposed to... give you and Azumi, sweets"
You fell silent as you listened to him speak
"Would you have liked that? Azumi? I didn't have anything else in mind"
He asked and you scoffed "of course I would, as long as it's from you I'll always accept it. Azumi as well" you bit your lip to hold in the tears but they just kept on falling

"The people who did this... they were after you" he announced and your eyes widened

Tobirama was in this state because he protected you?
"I got rid of them" he whispered "when you were a little girl I made a promise to you"

"Everytime you would come to me and ask me for help because of the monsters that scared me, I took care of them didn't I? Because I promised that whenever they would scare you, you can come to me for help"

You held him tighter "I got rid of them, because I knew that if I didn't you would come to me and ask me to help you with them. And I thought I'd just get rid of your monsters now to get it done"

Tobirama stopped smiling and he bit his lip "but- I'm ashamed to say that they got the best of me and I'm sorry, because for once I wasn't able to help you. And it was when I hadn't seen you in a long time to add on top of that"

"I am a hypocrite to say such a thing but I can't help it when you are a busy woman now, a son, a daughter and a husband... the most important woman in the three villages"

"No... Tobirama..." you trailed off "at times I would wish to see my little girl again, you understand? I just... I just wanted to see you, share some tea and sweets. Like we always did"

He had a bittersweet smile on his face "and the last time you came to me was when you were still pregnant, I vividly remember you complaining about your sore feet and ankles so I offered to rub them for you"

Tobirama looked at you "Hashirama would always whine like a child about how boring it was without you in your younger days just running around with his wife"

"You had brought a smile on everyone's face back then except for mine... so now I will tell you before it is too late, I love you, more than you will ever know. I love you and you are my most treasured little sister of which I hold close to my heart and I will never let go"

You closed your eyes and leaned into him a little more, not caring about the blood that went all over you

His face relaxed as he fell into a deep slumber, you cried into his shoulder

Azumi stood at the doorframe in shock of everything that has happened, she had never seen her mother cry so much for once, and two, she just wanted to come see her grumpy uncle without any chaos... was that too much to ask for?

All that she knew was that this image she was seeing right now... it will forever be implanted into her head and it will never go away.

This memory was gonna follow her around for the rest of her life
