The Foot In New York

A few nights after the event with the robots and the giant weed mutant, the turtles were hanging out in April's apartment, eating pizza, and even Splinter was there too. Splinter: "Hmm... I must admit... the pizza is quite a treat... thought it could use some sushi." April: "Sushi on pizza?" Splinter: "What?, I love sushi, it's a common meal in Japan." April: "You seemed to know a lot about Japan." Splinter: "That's because I'm from there, back in the days when I was still a human." hearing this made the turtles spite out the lemonade they drinking, shocked by this info. Raphael: "Whoa there, time out... you were a human?, the guy who hates humans?" Splinter: "I never said I hated humans, I just knew that most wouldn't accept beings like us." Donatello: "But still... you were a human once?" Splinter: "Yes... back then, I went by the name of Hamato Yoshi... a former member of a ninja clan known as the Foot clan..." April: "Oh... so that's how you knew Ninjitzu and taught it to the turtles..." Splinter: "Yes..." Raphael: "Wait... you said former member of the Foot clan... what happened?" Splinter: "Well... it started many years ago... before I came to New York..." said Splinter, before he begins his story about how he once had a wife before she was killed by his rival, Oroku Saki and how he got framed for the death and got banished from Japan, leaving everyone shocked and felt sorry for the rat mutant. April: "Oh Splinter... I'm so sorry..." Leonardo: "That Oroku Saki... the nerve of that man... a ninja without any honor... isn't a true ninja..." Splinter: "True... but he was still a powerful warrior, and I was the only one who could have gone toe to toe with him..." Donatello: "Was he really that tough?" Splinter: "Yes... and more." said Splinter, before his ear twitched a bit, as he heard something from outside. Leonardo: "What is it?" Splinter: "There's someone out there..." said Splinter, before April went to open the window and see nobody outside. April: "I don't see anyone out there..." Splinter: "There is someone... and there are more of them." Raphael: "You're sure about that?" Splinter: "Absolutely..." said Splinter, before he and the others went outside to investigate. April: "I still don't see anyone..." Splinter: "Look out!" shouted Splinter, as he pushes April to the ground as a ninja throwing star hits the rat on the shoulder. Leonardo: "Master!" Michelangelo: "No!" Donatello: "What was that?!" Raphael: "Who did that?!" that was when a group of ninjas, wearing black masks over their heads came to the scene, and they were ready to fight, though they were surprised by the appearance of the mutants. April: "Who are they?" Donatello: "They look like ninjas... but I thought we were the only ninjas in New York..." Splinter: "They're members of the Foot clan... I recognize the symbols on their belts anywhere..." Leonardo: "The same ninja clan you were talking about?" Splinter: "Yes... we must run." Raphael: "Are you kidding?, I'll show these who's the top ninja in this block!" said Raphael, before he goes to battle the ninjas, while the other turtles joined in. while the turtles fight, April tries her best to help Splinter getting back on his feet. However, some of the ninjas came in front of the pair and took down April with ease while taking Splinter away with them before leaving the scene. Leonardo: "They left..." Raphael: "Ha!, that'll show them who's the top turtle here!" Donatello: "Hey guys... where's Master Splinter?" April: "Oh... my head..." said April, while rubbing her head before Michelangelo came over to her. Michelangelo: "April, are you okay?" April: "I'm fine... but those ninjas... they took Splinter away!" Leonardo: "What?!" Donatello: "So the fight was just a diversion!" Raphael: "No!" elsewhere in New York, in an abandoned warehouse, Splinter was chained to the wall, and sees the Foot ninjas in front of him, before a young teenage girl came to the scene. Her name was Karai (voiced by Kelly Hu), and she was Oroku Saki's second in command and daughter. Karai: "Hmm... I'm not sure what you are... but from what my men told me, you and some large turtle men know Ninjitzu, the same type of the Foot clan... meaning you must have been taught under the traitor Hamato Yoshi... meaning you and those turtles are the keys to find him..." said Karai with an evil grin on her face. Back with the turtles, they were searching for Splinter and the Foot ninjas, while doing their best hiding in the shadows so they don't attract unwanted attention. April: "Oh... this is all my fault... they managed to catch Splinter due to the injury he received when he tried to save me..." Leonardo: "Don't blame yourself April, we just need to focus on getting master Splinter back." Donatello: "But how?, he could be anywhere." suddenly, a knife came to the ground, with a piece of paper on it, and April takes the paper to see that it was a message. April: "It's a note that says if we want the rat back, we need to meet the Foot clan at an abandoned warehouse..." Donatello: "It's no doubt a trap..." Leonardo: "Yeah... but we don't have a choice, master Splinter's life is at stake here..." said Leonardo, before he and the others went to the abandoned warehouse, with April's guidance of course. Soon, they arrived to the warehouse, but there was no sign of Splinter anywhere. Suddenly, the Foot clan ninjas came down and Karai stood in front of them. Leonardo: "I take it that you're the leader of the Foot clan?" Karai: "Not yet, that role right now belongs to my father, the Shredder, I am Karai, the Foot clan's second in command." Leonardo: "Shredder?" Raphael: "A kitchen utensil?" Karai: "He is the most powerful and most feared ninja warrior in all of Japan, and soon the whole world." Leonardo: "Where's Splinter?!" Karai: "Who?... oh you mean the rat... he's right here." said Karai, before she snaps her fingers and two of her Foot warriors brought Splinter with them, tied up in chains. Splinter: "Boys, forget about me, you must get out of here!" Leonardo: "Not without you!" Karai: "If you want him back, tell me where I can find Hamato Yoshi." Donatello: "What do you want from him?" Karai: "It's personal, now tell me where he is!" Michelangelo: "How about we tell you... LIGHTS OUT!" called out Michelangelo, as he threw his nunchucks into the ceiling lights, causing the whole room to be dark enough to prevent the ninjas to see what was going on. By the time lights were restored, Karai sees that the turtles, April and Master Splinter were nowhere to be found. Karai: "NO!" shouted Karai in anger, while the mutants and teenage orange haired girl made a run for it and went into the sewers before the Foot clan knew where they went. Donatello: "That was too close..." Leonardo: "Master Splinter... that girl wanted you... as the man... Hamato Yoshi is you... do you know her?" Splinter: "Not sure... but I have a feeling I know who this Shredder is... my old enemy... Oroku Saki himself..." April: "I guessing he wants to finish you off... but they didn't knew their target was you..." Splinter: "Well that's no surprise as I am no longer a human... and I have not been called Hamato Yoshi since the day I left Japan..." Raphael: "And something tells me that we have not seen the last of those ninjas..." Splinter: "Correct... which means we need to train harder than ever... for the Foot clan is a dangerous enemy for the 5 of us." April: "Um what am I?, invisible?, I make 6." Raphael: "No offense April, but you're not a ninja." April: "Then maybe Splinter can teach me to be one... if he won't mind it." Splinter: "Hmm... well... I suppose it might be a good idea for you to learn the ways of the ninja in order to protect yourself..." April: "Thanks." said April, before she gives Splinter a hug, which he returned.
