Oddly enough, you never had many feelings towards the murders happening on your doorstep. Sure, it seemed that there was no clear motive to the killings and that meant that everyone was at risk, but you decided to ignore them and opt for peace of mind. So, you weren't scared. People had always had fear for your kind even though you never did any wrong, so why should you have the same feelings towards this supposed monster who is probably as misunderstood as the rest of you. But, weren't you sad for the victims and their families? Not really. It was like going to funerals as a young child, you understood that it was an upsetting thing and remained respectful, but you didn't really know any of them well enough to form a strong opinion or feeling for them. If anything, the only concern you held was for your boyfriend, Tyler. The monster also went for normies and you didn't think he had a chance of defending himself should he come i to contact with it.

So, although you loved a good investigation, you couldn't help but turn down Wednesday Addams each time she asked you to assist her in finding the identity of the monster and putting a stop to it. You had plenty of other things to fill your time, such as your relationship. You continued to stay away from Wednesday as far as possible and keep the monster far from your mind.

That was until she cornered you in the hallway, forcing you to follow her to 'somewhere more private'. "Can we make this quick, I'm meeting Tyler after his shift is over?" "Well you don't need to worry about that. I have a strong suspicion that it is Tyler who is responsible for all of the recent murders." You made to leave the room, not wanting to listen any more. "Wait, (Y/N)! I need your help. I don't have any concrete evidence yet, but I'm sure that you could find something. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't rule him out until you've done a little digging." You gave a sigh, purposely not promising anything. But, if you gave her the impression that you would think about it, maybe she would leave you alone. You gave a shrug as you walked out of the room.

You saw Tyler as scheduled, getting distracted by what Wednesday had said as much as you hadn't wanted to think about it. "You okay, (Y/N)?" Your boyfriend asked, worry written across his features. "Yeah, I guess. Just a little spooked..." Tyler gave you one of the smiles that you loved and placed his hand on top of yours. "Don't you worry about all that stuff, I will protect you against anything, okay? I love you." You couldn't help but smile back, even though you believed that your lovely boyfriend would be useless in a fight.

You actually managed to keep a relaxed mindset for some time, being glad that Wednesday was no longer hounding you. But you soon found out that her silence hadn't been from complacency. You showed up at Tyler's house, but only found his Dad there. You started to worry, then you heard Wednesday's accusations come creeping back into your head. You watched as Sheriff Galpin got a call on his radio. "It's Tyler. He's at the station." Your eyes widened. "Please, let me go with you." He seemed to consider for a moment before nodding.

By the time you got there, things had calmed down. Turns out, it was Wednesday that had been arrested for kidnapping Tyler, but she had already been released. He asked his Dad to talk to her alone, but you were not having it. "She hurt you! She could have killed you! What could you possibly have to say to her?" Tyler cupped your face in his hand, moving his thumb in a comforting gesture. "It's okay, (Y/N). I'm okay, but I need to do this." You gave a small, quick nod and he kissed you before going out of earshot.

You completely cut Wednesday Addams out of your life after that. She went WAY too far. And she had the nerve to ask for your help in chaining your boyfriend to a chair and interrogating him! You were so full of resentment and anger not only at Wednesday, but at whoever this monster was. You now wanted them caught for the sole purpose that it would keep suspicion away from your loved one. So, you started taking an interest and asking Sheriff Galpin for details, doing your own snooping. You find the cave that is the monster's lair. You weren't the first to find it, but you were the first to recognise a pile of your boyfriend's clothes. You were about to dismiss the idea as coincidence or something innocent as you sensed someone behind you. You turned around just in time to see the monster transform back to being Tyler. There was no mistaking it now. He gave a smirk, as if he still hadn't quite changed back to the man you knew. "Well, that took a while. I was trying to hide it, but you really had no clue." You adjusted to this different personality surprisingly quickly, but you were still cautious to not say anything yet. "Are you scared now, (Y/N)?" He got close to you, like he had done so many times before. You managed a smile and looked him right in the eyes. "No." Tyler was taken aback by this.

"No? You do realise I have killed a lot of people?" You nodded, getting even closer to him to prove your point. "Why should I be scared of you, Tyler? You said it yourself, the monster's not gonna hurt me. I am even more sure of that now. I guess you did lie about some things, but not that, am I right? I think, secretly, some part of me always believed it was you, that's why I so often got in the way of investigations, why I never cared about the murders. I still don't care." Tyler wasn't expecting those words to come out of your mouth. He was convinced he had to break things off with you, but now he realised that he really didn't want to. His face softened up a bit, more like the Tyler you were used to. "You mean that?" He never had many people who cared about him, so it had been really nice for him to have found you. You leaned your forehead against his. "As long as you meant it when you told me you loved me. You're secret's safe with me."
