Boo! (Betelgeuse One-Shot)

You were sat outside. There were many other people around. You stood out significantly. You were fine... Yeah, you were. You loved being unique and never let anyone change you. It's just... when you saw them whispering, you knew who they were talking about. No! You shouldn't let this get to you. You had the best boyfriend anyone could ask for and that should be enough.

"Boo!" You jumped. "Beetlejuice! You gave me a fright." Yes, that's right. The ghost with the most was yours. He sat down opposite you. You tried not to bother him with your problems, so you smiled. He was always so comfortable in his own skin. Today he wore his favourite black and white suit. "So, ya miss me? Course ya did!"

You were having a wonderful conversation with Betelgeuse, feeling much better. Until, out of the corner of your eye, you saw them. You ran a hand through your hair, breathing shakily. One made eye contact with you, before reporting back to their friends. Your head jerked onto your arm. Betelgeuse stopped talking, then followed your gaze to look behind him. "What's up? What are those losers doing?" He could tell what was going on.

He got up from where he was sitting. "It's fine. Just sit back down. I'm fine." You tried to convince him. "It's Showtime!" You sighed, but watched intently. "Welcome to Winter River, museum of natural greed; a monument to the bored businessman! Come on a little closer, step right up, test your strength!" The people had stopped their conversation. He knocked them right into the sky. You couldn't help but laugh. He walked closer to you and bowed. "And that! Is why I won't do two shows a night anymore, babe. I won't. I won't do it." You hugged him. Other people were staring, but you didn't care. You and Betelgeuse walked past them, smiling. "Boo!"
