Kinabukasan ay maaga akong nagising and just as I am walking downstairs ay naabutan ko si Zion na nakatayo sa dulo ng hagdan.
He's talking to someone over his phone at tipid lang itong sumagot sa kabilang linya.
"Yeah," iyon lang ang huling sinabi niya as he put down his phone on his pocket at lumingon sa akin ng walang emosyon.

Hindi ako umimik at mahinang naglakad pababa sa hagdan until nasa dulo na ako kaharap siya.

Zion nodded at tumingin sa akin as he put down his utensils kaya nakakunot ang noo ko silang tinignan ni Butler Enrod na ngayon ay nakatingin din sa akin.

"Madam, Vilacorp held an anniversary event later tonight at their main company and I just received the invitation letter for you and Sire."
Napatango ako sa sinabi ni Butler Enrod.
"So...," nagdadalawang isip akong ipagpatuloy ko ba ang sasabihin ko pero I choose the latter, "Anong kinalaman ko sa event na 'yan?"
Huminga si Butler Enrod as he gestures the servants around us to get out of the dining area kaya nagtataka ako.
Why does he have to make the servants leave? Anong meron?
"We suspect that Carlo Ville will attend that event, Madam." ani Butler Enrod.
Nanlaki ang mata ko sa narinig. Ang male lead!? Pero anong event? There's no such thing as event ng Vilacorp na nangyari sa book so i really guess hindi pa nagsimula ang istorya ng 'My Lily'.
"Sire already suspects that you and that man are related somehow and Sire wants to know what is your relationship with Carlo Ville?" magalang na sambit ni Butler Enrod kaya huminga ako ng malalim.
Good thing I met Sanny Bels yesterday kaya may kaalaman din ako about sa akin at kay Carlo Ville, the male lead.
"He's my ex as per my friend told me yesterday," sambit ko.
I can't lie to them kasi alam kong malalaman naman talaga nila Zion ang mga pinagsasabi namin kahapon.
The bodyguards that are protecting me are Zion's men after all and they already told him what happened yesterday.
"The person who talked to you yesterday," sambit ni Zion at parang may iniisip.
"Oo," ani ko.
Ilang segundong katahimikan at nagsalita na ulit si Butler Enrod.
"Anyway, Madam. We can't hide you for long as we all know that Carlo Ville is already suspicious of who is Sire's wife. We can only face him at the Vilacorp anniversary event tonight."
Meeting the male lead, Carlo Ville is making me curious kung ano ang itsura nito. And why is he my ex? I don't even know if ex-boyfriend or ex-fiance ko ba ito.
"You mean I have to be ready," mahinang usal ko.
Tumayo na si Zion as he spoke something to Butler Enrod na rinig ko naman.
