Nakauwi kami ni Mama na ang bukambibig niya ay yung mga customer sa shop ni Jessie.
"I really don't like that girl who stops us just now," naiinis na sa sambit ni Mama as she looked outside the car.
I wonder what makes Mama hate Lily so much? The online story didn't mention anything about it. It only stated that Mama hates Lily so much that she wants the woman to disappear in front of her.
"If you don't mind me asking Mama," nahihiyang sambit ko nito, "..Why do you hate that girl?"
Mahabang katahimikan ang pumaligid sa amin.
Nag-aalala na tuloy ako kung tama ba na magtanong ako ng ganito kay Mama.
I look at Mama na ngayon ay nakatingin na sa kawalan as she sighs heavily bago nagsalita.
"That girl's mother is my friend."
Nanlaki ang mata ko sa narinig.
"I used to like that girl but her attitude is so different from my friend. Her Dad is a manager of some big company abroad at the same time he had a mistress. Apparently, that woman is pregnant," paliwanag nito.
Mahina akong bumuga ng hangin. I feel bad about Lily's Mother for having a husband like that.
"I pity my friend for having that kind of a man so i told her to divorce him immediately. She did what i told her to. I'm afraid she'll do something bad since she's alone with her daughter so i asked her to stay at our house for the meantime."
Napaisip ako sa susunod na mangyari.
"My friend's daughter was only a teenager at that time and since i didn't have a daughter, I treated her like my own," ani Mama.
Napatango ako. Kung ako si Mama, i will also do that for the sake of my friend.
"But don't worry, dear. Ikaw pa rin ang one and only daughter ko even though asawa ka lang ng anak ko, I already treated you like my own."
Ngumiti tuloy ako sa paliwanag ni Mama kaya hindi ko mapigilang hawakan ang kamay niya. She covers my right hand to her other hand habang nakatingin pa rin sa kawalan.
"Anyway, sa unang stay nila sa bahay namin, her daughter is good pero habang tumatagal bigla itong nagbago after her Mother died of depression. She acts high and mighty to our helpers. She did something bad to our family that i asked her to leave immediately," sarkastikong tumawa si Mama.
Something bad? Anong ginawa ni Lily that made Mama to the point of making her leave Lily outside the house? Is it related to my husband though?
"I know a long time ago that the girl had a liking for my dear Zion so i made a decision to get Zion to work abroad for the meantime and never came back when i told him so. After many years, hindi umuwi si Zion rito sa pinas not until i ask him to go home that particular day that he came home with you and wala na rin akong nabalitaan tungkol sa kaibigan ko at ang anak nito," mahabang paliwanag ni Mama at saka tumingin sa akin.
"Anyway, I hate that girl so much. But as an elder, I can only look at her casually but my hatred in my heart will not change," anito.
Tumango nalang ako sa sinabi ni Mama. Now i understand why Mama doesn't like Lily, the female lead. May history pala sila.
Hindi na nagsalita si Mama kaya hindi na rin ako umimik at tumingin nalang sa labas ng kotse.
Kaya pala kung makatitig si Lily sa amin ni Zion noon sa Vilacorp ay wagas even though meron ng Carlo Ville sa tabi niya. Psh.
Pero nagtataka pa rin ako sa sinabi ni Mama. If Zion and Lily know each other a long time ago, bakit parang hindi nakilala ni Zion si Lily? Why didn't the story mentioned this past?
When we entered the living room, naabutan namin sina Zion at ang ama nito na nag-uusap ng mahinahon.
"My dear sweetheart, I'm home!!" biglang sigaw ni Mama na ikinagulat ko ng bahagya.
Lumingon ang mag-ama sa amin at ngumiti si Father-in-law nang makita si Mama. He gestured to Mama to sit beside him at umupo naman si Mama sa tabi niya.
I feel like they are doing a lovey dovey in front of me. Namumula tuloy ang pisngi.
I look at Zion at nakatingin din pala ito sa akin sa hindi ko maintindihan na emosyon.
He silently nodded indicating me to sit beside him kaya sumunod ako sa gusto niya.
"How's your shopping going, sweetheart?" tanong ni Father-in-law kay Mama.
"It was great, my dear sweetheart!" sagot ni Mama at yumakap pa talaga ito kay Father-in-law.
Napailing-iling nalang ako sa aksyon ni Mama. She looks nothing like earlier and lalong-lalo na sa nabasa ko.
Lumapit ako kay Zion at bumulong sa tenga nito.
"Ganyan na ba talaga ka sweet ang Mama at Papa mo?" curious kong tanong nito.
Ang sweet naman kasi nila even though they are rumored to be cold and fierce outside.
"Get your face away from me," rinig kong sambit ni Zion sa mahina na boses kaya nakasimangot akong lumayo sa mukha nito.
Oa naman ng lalaking 'to.
"And to answer your question.. get used to it," biglang bulong ni Zion na ikinasinghap ko ng mahina dahil nalang sa biglang tumibok ang puso ko.
I turn my head and look at him. Nakatingin din pala ito sa akin ng kung anong emosyon as his eyes lowered stop at my lips.
I can feel his breath in my neck. I don't know what happened to me but i feel like my knees are weak because of his intense stare at my face, especially my lips.
"Zion, are you a kid? You're jealous that your parents have a loving affection in front of you so you're copying us too?" biglang sambit ni Mama kaya nahihiya akong umiwas ng kay Zion at yumuko.
"This is my house, Mom. I can do anything i want," rinig kong sambit ni Zion.
I heard Mama sneered.
"If you can do anything you want to, kiss my daughter-in-law for me," biglang sambit ni Mama na ikinalaki ng mata ko.
How i wish there was a hole on the ground. I badly want to hide there.
I don't have any contact with men except my Dad before I died, nahihiya pa rin ako kay Zion.
My heart beats fast when Zion suddenly holds my chin and gently raises to turn my face in front of him and in a blink of an eye, I can feel his lips landed sofly in mine.
I saw how his eyes were staring at my wide eyes as i felt his hands cupping my face and pulling me closer to him. I tightly hold the hem of his shirt.
Nawala na ako sa katinuan as i felt his teeth biting my lips that made me groan a little making me open my mouth. I felt his tongue inside my mouth.
Napabalik lang ako sa reyalidad nang narinig kong may biglang umubo sa paligid namin kaya natataranta kong tinulak si Zion.
I panted heavily as i lowered my head to hide in shame.
"You have more stamina than me, my dear," biglang sambit ni Mama.
Yumuko tuloy ako. I want to hide badly now.
"Way to go, son," rinig kong sambit ng father-in-law ko kaya lalong namumula ang pisngi ko.
"Thank you, Dad," rinig kong sambit ni Zion sa seryosong boses.
At talagang nagpasalamat pa siya! Seriously, this villain is so shameless.
