Magsasalita pa sana ako when i heard someone knock the door outside kaya lahat kami napatingin sa pintuan.
"Don't tell me it's that beast Carlo!?" sambit ni Papa.
"Impossible!" ani Sanny as she slowly walks towards the door to open it.
Bumungad sa amin si Zion na nakasimangot ang mukha as he looks around the room and he stops looking around when he saw me ay saka ito pumasok.
"Mr. Cartridge..." rinig kong bati ni Papa kay Zion.
Tinitigan ko pa rin si Zion hanggang nakatayo na siya sa tabi ko. Nagulat lang ako ng may bigla siyang ginawa.
He suddenly bowed and uttered slowly, "...Good day, Father-in-law, Mother-in-law."
Nanlaki ang mata ko dahil sa tinawag ni Zion sa mga magulang ko. He sounds so comfortable calling them Father and Mother in-law.
"I don't approve of you being our daughter's husband yet." I can hear my Papa's voice getting confident.
"Is it even legal?" biglang tanong ni Mama na ikinagulat ko pero hindi ko pinahalata.
Is it? Eh, wala naman akong memorya and i bet may pipirmahang mga papeles before we are married!
"Yes, Mother-in-law. My wife woke up some time ago when she was admitted in my lab. I told her my plan to marry her and she agreed without hesitation so i prepared the papers and all she can do is sign her signature beside mine," paliwanag ni Zion.
Kahit marami akong tanong kay Zion ay hindi nalang ako nagsalita. I'm still thinking about what happened earlier.
"You take advantage on my daughter, you--!" asik ni Papa kay Zion as he points his index finger to him.
Hindi nagsalita si Zion but i saw how his hands turns to fist. Green veins are now visible because of his strength.
I look up at him pero hindi ko mabasa ang expression niya. He looks just like the first time i remember here. Walang emosyon.
"That aside.. how can we heal my daughter?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Mama habang nakatingin kina Sanny at Zion.
"Mother-in-law, my wife is already healed. Although her memory is still not intact. I already investigated what happened to my wife's date with that man and i find it interesting, actually. Carlo put some kind of medicine on my wife's drink when she's not looking," paliwanag ni Zion as he looks down at me.
I don't get what he means pero feeling ko may alam itong si Zion.
Yumuko nalang ako dahil sa titig niya. I can feel my cheeks reddened when i suddenly remember what happened to us dahil lang tinawag niya akong wife. I can feel my heart fluttering by it. Napangiti tuloy ko.
"You mean, her amnesia has something to do with that beast?" rinig kong sambit ni Papa.
"Exactly, Father-in-law. His company suddenly has a new medicine that can confuse a person's memory. The above was not happy about that medicine so they didn't approve it. I still don't have an intel on why that man makes that kind of medicine. But i guess he used my wife to try that medicine and it actually works so he wants to kill my wife."
Nanlaki na naman ang mga mata ko dahil sa narinig.
He means my memory is confused right now? Kung totoo man ang sinabi ni Zion ay dapat maalala ko lahat ng nga nakalimutan ko!
"May paraan ba para maibalik ang alaala ko?" mahinang usal ko na rinig naman nilang lahat.
"The doctor who works under my lab told me that hypnosis can bring back your memories," sagot ni Zion sa akin.
