CHAPTER 29 TUM AAYE TOH AAYA MUJHE YAAD....I

As Kavin and Purvi made their way up the steps, both of them were feeling a little apprehensive about the kids reactions. Of course they were excited and happy but also did not know how the kids will respond to this sudden surprise. Kavin held her hand tightly and gestured through his eyes, giving her the much needed strength. With shaking hands, Purvi rang the bell. They stepped inside as the door opened.

"Ramu, yeh bachche or Dad kahaan hain?", Kavin asked.

"Woh log upar apne kamre mein hain Dushyant Sir ke saath. Ishita Ma'am unke liye chocolate milk banaa rahi hain aur ACP sir bhi apne room main hain".

"KV, main aati hun. Tum bachchon ko living room mein lekar aao", Purvi said.

Kavin nodded at her as he went upstairs while Purvi made her way to the kitchen.

"Disha, tum zaraa woh badi waali tray nikaal do please. ACP sir ke liye chaaye bhi le jaati hun", she heard Ishita as she entered. Gesturing to everyone to be quiet, she tip-toed towards her and hugged her from the back.

Ishita was startled and gave a small scream.

"Main hun Ishi!"

"Kya tum Purvi! Tum....", she stopped suddenly realizing that she was supposed to be angry with her.

"Purvi, chodo mujhe. I don't want to talk with you!"

"Pata hai mujhe. Naraaz ho na tum? Par Ishi yeh karna zaroori tha. Saari kahani sun lena, phir tum samjhogi".

"Nahin mujhe kuch nahin samjhana! Pata hai Purvi, Pihu ko humne kaise sambhaala in teen saalon mein? Badi mushkil se tumhaare jaane ke gham se ubhaara. Pichle kuch mahino se hee uski puri hasi sunne ko mili. Aur bhai, kuch kehte nahin the par andar hee andar kitna dukhi the, mujhe pata hai. Saara din subah uthte hue se lekar raat tak tumhaari photo se baatein karte the. Rohan ko ek baari maine room mein chup-chaap rote hue bhi dekha. Pihu raat ko kitni baar tumhe yaad karti, tumhaara naam pukaarti, par tum toh nahin thi na. Aur Dushyant aur mera kya Purvi? Tumhe lagta hai tumhaare bagair hum theek the?", Ishita burst out.

Purvi was crying freely now and she hugged her tightly while saying "Maaf karde na mujhe Ishi. yeh karna mere liye bahut zaroori tha...". With that she took a deep breath and explained everything to her, about Narain, his encounter with Sameer-Kavin and Rohan losing his voice. Ishita was shocked to say the least.

"Par phir tu kaise involve hui is sab mein and how are you alive?", Ishita's curiosity got the better of her.

"Meri kahaani main sabko saath mein bataati hun. Par pehle mujhe yeh bataa, tune mujhe maaf kiya ya nahin?"

"Haan, haan kardiya tujhe maaf! Tere se zyaada der gussa reh sakti hun kya?Vaise bhi tu waapis aayi hai toh bhagwaan ji ka shukar mana rahi hun. Aur phir bhai ne bhi tujhe maaf kar diya hai toh main bahut khush hun balike", Ishita said and hugged her back.

"Thank you mujhe support karne ke liye hamesha! I love you!"

"Hey bhagwaan! Bolo, jo cheez ise kisi aur ko kehni chahiye, mujhe keh rahi hai!"

"Kuch bhi kehti hai tu! Chal ab bahaar! Mujhe bachchon se milna hai",Purvi said running out with a small smile playing on her lips. Ishita smiled and went after her. As they entered the living room, they saw Kavin, Dushyant and Rohan engaged in an animated discussion with their backs towards them.

Ishita held Purvi's hand to stop her from calling out and she said loudly instead,

"Rohan beta.."

As Rohan turned, he stood transfixed to see Purvi in front of him. Purvi's eyes were moist as she said,

"Rohan, Purvi aunty ko hug nahin karenge aap, jaise pehle karte the?"

Rohan looked at his father, confused and shocked.

"Tumhaari Purvi aunty hee hain bachche!"

He stood still for a moment but ran forward immediately and hugged her. Purvi hugged him back with her eyes moist. They just stayed in that position for a few minutes without saying anything. It was quite an emotional scene and everyone looked moved. Kavin had a broad smile on his face.

"Aap toh bahut lambe ho gaye ho Rohan beta! Aur yeh kya, kahaan se itni chottein laga li hein apne haathon par?", Purvi scolded him.

"Kya Purvi aunty, aap bhi? Pehle to Dad aise peeche pade rehte the ab aap bhi aise kahengi toh main kahaan jaaunga?"

"Abe O! Hum bhi hain yahaan! Humein toh bhul hee ja tu!", Dushyant said, pretending to be jealous.

Rohan gave a sudden hug to Purvi again and said, "Haan toh! Ab jab Purvi aunty aa gayi hain toh kuch dino ke liye mera saara time unka!"

They all smiled and Ishita teased him, "Array, ab kya hua? Tum toh kuch der pehle hee keh rahe the na ki main ab bada ho gaya hun, mujhe akela chod do!"

"Woh aap logon ke liye tha. Mujhe thodi na pata tha ki Purvi aunty waapis aa rahi hain!", he said faking an innocent look while still hugging her.

"Thehar jaa tu badmaash! Purvi aunty ke aate hee hum kaun aur tum kaun?", Kavin quipped. But he still had a huge smile on his face. He knew that Rohan missed Purvi a lot but never expressed his feelings so that Pihu doesn't get upset. Plus, he was genuinely happy to see their bond restored.

"Par Purvi aunty aap aaye kaise?"

"Lambi kahaani hai Rohan. Baad mein bataaungi. Pehle yeh batao Pihu kahaan hai?"

"Aunty, woh nahaa rahi thi. Bus aati hogi. Maine uska pura khayal rakha, jaise aapne kaha."

"Rohan, mujhe pata tha. Isi liye toh tumhe keh kar gayi thi".

Rohan stopped smiling and shuddered a little when she said that. Purvi noticing this, said,

"Ab nahin jaaungi. Promise.."

"Sachi?"

"Muchi!", she pulled his cheeks affectionately.

Suddenly a sing-songy but loud voice rang out,

"Kahaan hain aap sab? Mujhe toh upar hee chod aaye. Main kisi se baat nahin karungi!"

"Meri Pihu.....", Purvi whispered.

"Pihu hum living room mein hain..jaldi aao", Rohan shouted back.

"Aa rahi hun main Ro bhaiya! Khair nahin kisi ki ab!", Pihu sounded angry.

They all smiled lightly and as the door to the living room swung open, Pihu sauntered in ready to give her trademark babyish lecture to all.

"Main kisi se koi baat....."

She stopped mid-sentence and stood still on seeing everyone looking back at her. Purvi had tears in her eyes as she held out her hands for her daughter.

"Mummy....", Pihu said and fell down on the floor, unconscious.......

Ye lo ji aap sab ka update. I know, I know...abhi aadha hai. Par worry not, dusra part thode ghanto mein aa jaayega. Aapko zyaada wait nahin karaaungi!! Agar ikathe likhti to chapter bahut bada ho raha tha.

Vaise readers, needed your opinion on something. I have a specific portion with Dush and Ishu in mind. Strictly speaking, its not directly required but they have been very supportive to both Purvi and Kavin always. So, I thought it would be good to dedicate a bit to them as well. Would you all like to read a small portion about them? Or I can skip it if you would rather read only the OG planned story? Please let me know in comments and I will update accordingly.
