CHAPTER 26 JAHAAN TU VAHAAN MAIN...

Next Day, 11:00 am

The sun shone brightly on the forested path as they all made their way towards the temple/gurudwara. Kavin and Fredricks were at the fag end of the line behind a couple of other policemen as Pankaj and Nikhil lead the way. The prisoner, successfully captured was handcuffed and walking in between. It had all worked beautifully as per the plan and they had finally managed to catch 'the boss'. Using the satellite phone, Kavin had immediately informed ACP Pradyuman about the success of their mission. He had immediately set into process the necessary steps for permissions and transference of this high profile criminal to Mumbai. By the time, they reached the Parisar a couple of hours later, all permissions were taken and heavily guarded cars were on their way to transport all criminals to Mumbai. The girls had managed to catch four people from the temple too who were a part of the gang.

As they all met near the langar hall, they went into a team huddle:

"Great work team! Aaj aap sab ne ek bahut hee important criminal ko pakadne mein saath diya hai. ACP sir se meri baat hui hai aur woh bahut khush hain. Aaj raat tak hum CID headquarters pahunch jaayenge. Tab tak in criminals ki zimmedari hamaari hai. Chaukanne rehena sabhi", Kavin said.

"Jee Sir! Ab jaake langar khaa lete hain. Uske baad mumbai ke liye niklenge", Pankaj said.

As they all made their way towards the hall, Purvi looked at Kavin, wanting to talk to him. He was looking away steadfastly and deliberately. Purvi turned a bit emotional but controlled herself and went forward with everyone else.

CID Headquarters, Mumbai, 8:00 PM

"Kitna achcha lag raha hai itne lambe safar ke baad utar kar stretch karna", Fredricks exclaimed as he got out of the car.

"Bilkul sahi sir!", Tasha replied stomping her legs.

"Team, ACP sir pahunch chuke hain. Aadhe ghante mein meeting room mein milna hai", Kavin informed them, keeping his phone down.

They all made their way to the entrance and entered the main hall. However, Purvi received a text message and she deflected right to ACP Pradyuman's room.

"Main andar aa sakti hun sir?", she asked as she stood at the door.

ACP Pradyuman stood up from his chair and walked towards her. She came in and bent down to take his blessings. But, he stopped her immediately and said emotionally,

"Nahin Purvi. Tum meri beti jaisi ho aur betiyan pair nahin chuhti na? Tumhe sahi-salaamat dekhkar mujhe itni khushi ho rahi hai ki main bayaan bhi nahin kar sakta. Main kab se is din ki raah dekh raha tha. Mere bachche kitne khush honge! Shukriya bhagwaan ka ki unhone meri prathana sun li".

Purvi gave him a sudden hug and said, "Sir, aapki badaulat hee main aaj yahaan khadi hun. Aapne agar mujhe hausla nahin diya hota toh shayad main apne mukaam par nahin pahunch paati. Humne use pakad liya sir, finally! Meri teen saal ki mehnat rang laayi. Thank you, thank you so much sir. Aapne meri har kadam pe madad ki hai".

"Jo maine kiya, isme desh ka bhala tha aur mera farz. Par tumne jo kiya woh bahut mushkil tha beta. Zinda hone ke bawajood apne parivaar se door rehna kis ke liye aasaan hai? Par tumne bakhoobi kiya, desh ke liye bhi aur apne maqsad ke liye bhi. I am proud of you Purvi and what you have become! So, aaj se officially, welcome to the team! Tumhaara transfer CID main team mein ho gaya hai, DCP sir se maine confirmation le li hai aur yeh raha appointment letter. Ab tum yahin reh sakti ho apne parivaar ke saath. No more undercover operations for a while!", ACP Pradyuman informed her.

"Thank you very much sir!", Purvi beamed as she took the letter from him.

"Ab chalte hain. Meeting ka time ho raha hai. Maine Kavin se baaki team ko tumhaare baare mein bataane se mana kiya hai. Bakiyon ko surprise dete hain", ACP Pradyuman told her while they both walked towards the main hall.
