Kavin gained consciousness slowly. He was lying on his back hidden behind the huge tree with the entire body paining badly. Fishing out his wallet from the pocket, he took out a small round tablet. Looking around, a big fallen tree log was just up ahead. Crawling towards it, he sat up with much difficulty and tilted his head back to take the tablet.

"Thank You Dr. Salunkhe for making this medicine. Perfect for situations like these!". As per Dr Tarika's instructions, he rested for half an hour in the same position. Closing his eyes, he let the sounds of the jungle creep in. Soon after starting to feel better, he looked up and observed his position and condition. He had several gashes on his body, a few deep cuts and a huge wound on his toe, nothing that couldn't be handled with the medicine. As soon as he felt a bit better, he got up and tried hobbling around.

"Pata nahin main kitni der aise hee behosh raha. Fredricks bhi abhi tak sab ko lekar nahin aaya. Aur woh ladki....mujhe aisa kyun laga ki...nahin, nahin. Aisa kaise ho sakta hai? Impossible hai yeh! Shayad us haalat mein meri imagination ne mujhe dhokha diya! Anyway, abhi ke liye usko bachaana zaoori hai. Dekhta hun yeh team kahaan reh gayi?"

He started searching for his bluetooth enabled device but couldn't find it anywhere.

"Shayad us fight ke chakkar mein gir gaya hoga! Dekhta hun ki main khud kya kar sakta hun!"

Slowly, he started walking towards the big tree again. As he peeped out from behind the foliage, he could see a small light switched on in the dilapidated hut ahead. One of the men was standing guard outside while noises noises could be heard from inside.

"Mujhe dekhna hoga ki kitne aadmi hain andar", he thought as he tip-toed towards the hut from the back without making any noise.

He approached the man standing outside from the back. Kavin put one hand on his mouth while with his other twisted his neck to the right side. He fell down noiselessly. Kavin then slowly made his way to the window and carefully looked inside. A group of 6 men were sitting around, playing cards and talking.

"Yaar Aslam, yeh Inspector Kavin toh mila nahin. Kitna dhundha humne aur kitni door tak gaye hum log. Par nahin, pata nahin kahaan gaayab ho gaya?"

Kavin smiled a little. "Yeh shayad bhul gaye hain ki ek trained CID officer se paala pada hai inka. Maana ki kuch der ke liye main kamzor pad gaya tha kyunki inhone peeth peeche waar kiya. Par camouflage achche se aata hai mujhe. Chaahkar bhi mujhe dhundh nahin paate yeh log".

"Haan, yeh toh sahi kaha tumne Arush. Mujhe lagta hai yeh uska team-mate jo abhi tak nahin aaya, shayad woh bhi baarish ki wajaah se ruk gaya hoga. Jungle ke raste toh saare band pad gaye the na".

"Hmmm..ek kaam karenge. Kal subah hote hee phir jungle chaanne niklenge. Boss bhi baarish ki wajaah se hotel se aa nahin paaye. Kal aayenge toh agar Inspector Kavin aur uska team-mate bhi hon, toh woh zaroor khush honge", Maneet joined in.

"Vaise, boss ke khush hone ka intezaam toh ho chuka hai. Woh ladki koi kam nahin hai. Bala ki khubsurat hai. Isliye toh boss ne use haath lagaane se mana kiya humein,", Daksh snickered.

Kavin's face showed immense anger on hearing such words for a lady.

"Gire hue log toh yeh hain hee, ab toh inhe mujhse koi nahin bacha sakta. Yeh cheh log hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki main in ko handle kar lunga. Inke pass phone bhi hoga toh team ko bhi call kar lunga. Chalo Kavin, shuru ho jaao ab!", he boosted himself.

He circled around the house, hoping to see an inconspicuous way to surprise the hooligans. He noticed a thatched back door entrance and walked towards it guardedly with a small weapon he had fashioned from wood in his hand.
