CHAPTER 32 DIL TOH HAI DIL , DIL KA EITBAAR KYA KIJE...

ACP sir went out after Dushyant and Ishita but not before indicating to Purvi that she should try to comfort both Kavin and Rohan. Purvi nodded, assuring him that she is here for them. Walking slowly towards both of them, she sat down and put a comforting hand on Kavin's shoulder. He stared back at her, looking completely at a loss. Rohan, who was hugging Kavin, now was sandwiched between both and put an arm around her as well.

"Rohan beta, maaf kardo mujhe. Tumhe yeh sab aise pata chala."

"Aapki kya galti Purvi aunty? Jab maa hee aisi hain toh..", he dissolved into sobs all over again. Kavin suddenly put a hand on his shoulder and forcibly turned him.

"Rohan, baat suno meri tum. Woh aurat hamaare in aansuon ke layak bhi nahin hai. Tumhe pata hai mere pass toh koi bhi nahin tha tumhaari umar mein. Tumhaare pass toh main hun , Purvi aunty hai aur Pihu hai. Dushyant aur Ishita aur Dadaji bhi, toh tumhe toh khush hona chaahiye na?", he said, engulfing him in a hug.

"Haan Papa. Aap sahi keh rahe hain. Main aapko promise karta hun ki aaj ke baad is sab ke baare mein nahin sochunga aur hamesha khush rehne ki koshish karunga".

"Mera brave aur samajhdaar bachcha!", Kavin smiled and kissed him on his forhead.

Purvi was also smiling through her tears.

"Rohan beta, aaj school nahin jaana tum. Pihu ki last class ki teacher aaj absent hai toh woh bhi jaldi free ho rahi hai, abhi abhi message aaya. ACP sir se main baat kar lungi. Aaj aap aur Pihu mere saath shaam ko ghumne chaloge?", Purvi asked him.

"Sach Purvi aunty!", Rohan exclaimed getting all excited. "Toh phir ek shart hai!"

"Papa bhi chalenge hamaare saath".

"Nahin bachche.Mujhe to bureau jaana hoga na".

"Kya Kavin, ek din chutti nahin le sakte tum? Main baat kar lungi na ACP sir se?"

"Achcha baba theek hai".

"Rohan, chalo ab. Tumne abhi tak bath nahin liya hai na? Jaao upar aur bath lekar aao. Kavin, tum please mujhe apne haath ki badiya si coffee pilaoge?", Purvi said in a bright and chirpy voice.

"Main aata hun coffee lekar", Kavin smiled at her and left. As Rohan also left the room, Purvi dialled Pihu's school.

"Hello Ma'am. Main CID Officer Purvi Saxena bol rahi hun, Pihu ki mom", she said as she was transferred to the Principal's phone.

"Hello Purvi Ji. Aapko kuch kaam tha?"

"Ji Ma'am. Woh aaj ke liye kya Pihu ko half-day mil sakta hai. Kuch zaroori kaam hai, varna main aise kabhi bhi usko school se jaldi na bulaati".

"Haan zaroor Purvi Ji. Yeh pehli baar hai toh main aapko permission de rahi hun. Vaise Pihu is a good student. So, I am sure, woh padayi ka kuch nuksaan nahin hone degi".

"Ji Ma'am main dhyaan rakhungi!".

Then she called ACP Sir and explained the situation to him. ACP Pradyuman granted them both leave as well for a day. As she kept her phone down, she saw Kavin walk into the room. He looked quite thoughtful as he sat by with her.

"Tum theek ho Kavin?"

"Haan Purvi. Jaise maine kaha tha tumhe teen saal pehle, Sneha toh mere dil se tabhi chali gayi thi jab woh mere bachche ko rota-bilakhta chod ke hospital se gayab hui. Par haan aaj yeh sab sunke dhakka zaroor laga. Jis insaan ko kabhi maine itni shiddat se chaaha, usne mujhe pyaar kiya hee nahin? Yeh sunkar dukh toh hua par koi khaas farak nahin pada mujhe".
