CHAPTER 25 GALI MEIN AAJ CHAND NIKLA.....

They were surprised to see Kavin lying on his back with his arm protectively around a lady who was on the side...they were looking at each other unblinkingly.

"Yeh kaise ho sakta hai?", Fredricks couldn't believe his eyes.

"Par sir aanko-dekhi ko jhutlaaya nahin jaata", Pankaj responded while also staring straight ahead.

Tasha and Kajal coughed purposefully and Kavin suddenly broke eye contact. Realizing the situation, he got up hurriedly while Kajal rushed to help the lady up.

"Tum...tum..kaise..? Main koi sapna toh nahin dekh rahi?", Kajal murmered as she helped her up.

"Jee, aapne kuch kaha?", Agent A asked.

"Aapne? Main kab se aap ho gayi? Mujhe toh yakeen nahin ho raha ki yeh tum ho!"

"Main? Main kaun hun?"

"PURVI ..aur kaun!! Apna naam bhi tujhe yaad karvaana padega kya?", Tasha said walking towards them.

"Huh? Mera naam AGENT A hai!"

"Kya? Baal change karne se, dress-up alag karne se koi badal kaise sakta hai? Par mujhe yeh bata ki tu zinda kaise hai? Kavin aur Dushyant Sir ne khud teri cremation ke arrangements kiye the!", Kaajal said.

"Mujhe kuch samajh nahin aa raha tum kya keh rahi ho Kaaju!", Agent A shouted sounding frustrated.

Kavin, who had mutely observed the scene so far, jumped in.

"Achcha! Tumhe nahin pata? Toh yeh Kaaju kaun hai?", he enquired calmly. But his hands were fisted tightly on his sides seemingly stopping himself from something. His expression was inscrutable.

She looked at him, a little flushed in the face. Then walked forward and put an arm around both Tasha and Kajal who had turned to walk away.

"Array, tum dono toh itni jaldi maan gayin? Main mazaak kar rahi thi. Apni dost ke gale nahin milogi?", she asked, her voice replete with emotions. Both of them turned and hugged her back.

"Tu sach mein zinda hai? Kaise par? Purvi humein...."

"Ek minute...Aap logon ka reunion ho gaya ho toh aage kya karna hai yeh discuss karein?", Kavin's voice interrupted sarcastically.

Purvi started to say, "Kavin, woh...."

"Ek minute Agent A ya Ms.Purvi, aap jo bhi koi hon. Aapki baatein toh baad mein suni jaa sakti hain. Par abhi hum sab ko bahut kaam hai. Agar aap hamaari madad kar sakti hain, toh please join us. Nahin toh darwaaza udhar hai", Kavin said in a cold tone and immediately looked away from her.

Purvi was startled at Kavin's response to her presence. His initial reaction where they stared at each other for the longest time before the CID team interrupted had encouraged her. She thought he would be as excited and moved to see her as she was to be in his arms. But this behaviour completely baffled her. However, the situation at hand was precarious and she couldn't afford to let the 'boss' slip away this time. Therefore, she said,

"Sorry sir, main aapki madad karne ke liye ready hun".

"Pehle aap sab yeh bataayie bahaar ki kya khabar hai?"

"Sir, ek suspicious aadmi humein hotel mein mila. Pankaj ne uspar nazar rakhi aur uske phone ko hack bhi kiya. Humein lagta hai ki yeh 'boss' hee hai. Yeh uska photo hai. Pankaj ne chupke se kheecha jab main usse baaton mein laga rahi thi", Kaajal informed Kavin.

"Very good Kaajal and Pankaj. Par jitna main in criminals se waakif hun, yeh iska asli chehra toh hoga nahin?"

"Ji Sir. Aapne sahi pakda. Jab yeh Kaajal ma'am se baat kar raha tha toh main chupke se iske room mein gaya tha, room ka keycode hack karke. Wahaan par make-up ka samaan aur get-up ki gond vaghara kaafi cheezein padi milin", Pankaj responded.

"Theek hai. In logon ki baaton se toh pata laga hai ki woh kal subaah aa raha hai is adde par. Mere pass ek plan hai".

"Sir, aap bataayie. Hum sun rahe hain", Nikhil said.

"Tum sab chalo mere saath. Un gundon se baat karte hain pehle", Kavin said in a grim tone.

They all made their way outside where a few policemen were standing. All the five goons were trussed up and lying on the ground.

"Inspector Shinde, humein zaraa in sab se baat karni hai. Kuch time dijiye zara. Uske baad aap in sab ko lekar jaa sakte hain", Kavin requested the local police.

"Koi baat nahin sir. Aap kijiye baat. Hum yahin hain".

They shook hands and moved further away. Kavin went towards Daksh.

"Ae, tu, kya naam hai tera. Haan Daksh. Mujhe yeh bataa ki tumhaara 'boss' tum sab mein se kitno ko jaanta hai?", Kavin asked in his dangerous voice.

Daksh looked at him but didn't respond.

"Chup-chap jawaab de. Varna, inki satak gayi na, toh tumhaari jaan ka bhi koi baharosa nahin. Ek baar inhone bandook nikali toh tumhaara encounter karke hee chodenge", Fredricks warned him.

Daksh looked a little scared but still did not respond.

Kavin looked at Kajaal and nodded a little, She stepped forward and took her position behind him.

"Ek baar phir se soch lo!", she also warned him. When, he didn't respond, she gestured to Purvi and Tasha while she held his hands at the back. Purvi, came in front and hit him hard on the stomach with her shoe. Tasha held his legs while Purvi continued to hit him hard.

"Ladkiyon ko kuch samjhte nahin ho na tum. Toh dekho, aaj hum hee tumhein sabak sikhaate hain", she exclaimed all angry. Kavin's face melted for a moment and held a proud smile while he watched Purvi. However, he soon composed himself and went forward.

"Tum chup-chaap hamaare sawaalon ka jawaab do. Warna abhi toh yeh ek trailer tha. Agar chaaho toh puri picture dikhaun tumhe?", he said in the same, low dangerous voice.

Daksh was beaten black and blue but they had taken care not to put any mark on the face. He was huffing and panting badly. Finally, he could take it no more and exclaimed,

"Nahin, aur nahin. Mat maaro mujhe. Main tumhaare saare sawaalon ke jawaab dunga", he pleaded.

Kavin ordered Pankaj to bring some water for him. Then, he sat down face-to face in front of him and asked him everything about the boss. Daksh was so tired that he gave them all information without a second thought. They got to know that their guess about 'boss' being in the hotel was correct. He had only seen Daksh by face and was not aware of the others working for him. Kavin listened to everything very carefully and then got up.

"Inspector Shinde, aap ek kaam kijiye. Baaki chaaron ko aur un do bodies ko lekar chaliye. Bodies ko hospital aur in chaaron ko jail mein band kijiye. Main warrant ka intezaam karta hun. Kal subaah cheh baje aap apne kuch policemen lekar aa jayiga aur yahin aas-pass chup jaayeiga. Agar kuch gadbad ho toh aapka support rahega humein. Pankaj, tum aur Tasha hotel jaakar woh get-up ka samaan kaise bhi lekar aao jaldi. Agent A, tum ek baar Mandir-Gurdwaara parisar jaakar check kar lo ki sab kuch sahi hai vahaan. Kuch plain-clothes policemen saath jaayenge tumhaare incase kuch gadbad ho toh. Main aur Fredricks is Daksh ke saath yahin hai. Hum 'boss' se baat karenge aur kal ka program fix karenge. Tum sab jaldi se jaldi yahaan waapis aane ki koshish karo", Kavin elaborated the plan out of earshot of any of the goons.

"But Sir, hum abhi bhi toh usko jaakar hotel mein hi pakad sakte hain na?", Fredricks asked.

"Haan Freddie. Pakad toh sakte hain. Par jaisa maine kaha, woh already ek get-up mein hai. Hamaare pass koi bhi proof nahin hai. Aise hum use saboot ke saath pakadenge. Daksh ko aage rakhenge aur khud un gundon ke get-up mein rahenge. Aur haan, Kaajal aur Tasha, tum log apna kaam karke seedha Gurudwaare pahunchna aur Agent A ke saath vahaan nazar rakho, Agar 'boss' aa raha hai toh ho sakta hai uske kuch log parisar mein rehkar nazar rakhen yaa kuch karein. Yahaan par sirf males hon toh hee achcha hai kyunki Daksh ke saath sirf males hee the", Kavin explained.

"All the best team! Lets do this!", Kavin proclaimed as each of them moved out and went towards their areas of operation....
