There was a syringe punched near Kavin's heart and he was thrashing about wildly, Purvi rushed towards him while yelling "Doctor!" "Nurse!". She saw the call button near the bed and pressed it repeatedly. Doctors rushed in and asked her to calm down and walk out while they began treating Kavin. Two people, a man and a woman came running hearing the commotion. Both had guns.
The woman asked Purvi, "Yahaan kya hua hai?".
When they saw that Purvi was too shocked to respond, the woman said, "Dekhiye, ghabraane ki koi zaroorat nahin hai. Mera naam Shreya hai. Main CID Inspector hun. Aap Bataiye yahaan kya hua".
Purvi looked at her and burst into tears. As Shreya comforted her, Purvi told her what happened a few minutes ago.
The man came forward and said, "Main Senior Inspector Daya. Aap khul ke bataayie, aapne yahaan kis kis ko dekha."
"Sab kuch itni jaldi hua sir ki mujhe kuch zyaada to yaad nahin hai. Par haan, ek nurse nikli thi mere saamne isi room se jab main pahunchi aur woh dusri disha mein chali gayi".
"Kya tum bataa sakti ho ki woh kaisi dikhti thi?"
"Nahin sir, dekh toh main nahin paayi par woh dahini (right) taang se langda kar chal rahi thi".
"Shreya, Nikhil ko inform kar do ki woh CCTV footage check kare. Tab tak hum yahaan aas-pass chaan-been karte hain. Shayad koi suraag mil jaaye?"
"Yes Sir".
"Suniye, kya aap Inspector Dushyant se meri baat karva sakti hai? Mera phone andar room main hi choot gaya hai".
"Ek minute. Kya tum Dush mera matlab Inspector Dushyant ki behan Purvi Saxena ho?"
"Ji."
"Actually, Ishi aur Dush hamaare mera matlab mere aur Daya ke bahut achche dost hai. Unhone mujhe tumhaare baare mein bataaya tha. Yeh lo, baat karo Dush se".
"Shukriya". Purvi took the phone from her and explained the situation to him. He asked her to keep an eye out and take care of herself. He also told her not to worry about the kids as he and Ishita will bring them from school. Next, she called the school and explained that she had an emergency and would be unable to reach school today. Although she was just hired, the Principal was very understanding and gave her a day off.
"Suniye Purvi ji," Daya called out.
"Aap hamaare saath CCTV room chal sakti hain please? Vahaan ek senior doctor bhi honge. Aap ek baar footage dekh kar hamein confirm kar dijiye ki voh nurse kaun thi".
"Theek hai sir, chaliye".
"Shreya, tum yahin ruko. Kahin hamlavar phir se na aa jaaye".
"Theek hai Daya".
Daya and Purvi headed off to the CCTV room.
"Yahi thi woh"-Purvi pointed as they looked at the footage just outside Kavin's room.
"Nikhil, ek kaam karo, pure hospital ke different areas ki footage check karo. Ho sakta hai uski hospital ki movements se kuch clues milen", Daya said. "Dr. Manohar, aap bhi Nikhil ke saath yahin rahiye. Kuch gadbad dikhe toh bataayie."
"Sir, ek baat inhi videos mein kuch ajeeb hai. Yeh reception pe kaun hai?" Dr. Manohar asked.
"Kaun hai matlab? Aap hee ke hospital ki nurse hogi na?"
"Nahin sir, yeh hamaare hospital ki nurse nahin hai!".
Purvi was stunned on hearing this. She said, "Sir, par isi nurse ne toh mujhe Kavin ke room ka number bataaya tha. Isne mujhe stairs se third floor pe jaane ke liye kahaa. Aur pehle mana bhi kiya ki upar jaane ki ijaazat nahin hai. Phir maine use apni aur Kavin ke bete ki photo dikhayi toh jaane diya!".
