Chapter 12

Jin saw when Jungkook followed Jimin. Jungkook was already drunk, he was sure of that. Jimin was trying to avoid him eversince he came and he was also trying to avoid Jungkook. He felt sad for Jungkook as he looks so alone and lost.

He tried many times to approach him but Hoseok always pulls him somewhere.

The party was about to end so the Jung's had to go home.

Hoseok had to leave Seokjin, but the latter said he'll also be going home soon as he brought his own car. His parents will be left with Jimin, probably to socialize more with Sunghoon and his family.

He saw Jimin coming from the garden but was surprised when he saw Jungkook with the Jeon's.

"That's new." He mumbled to himself, surprised that the two did not do any miracle.

He decided that it's enough drama for the night so he told his parents that he'll have to go first. He was about to say goodbye to Jungkook but he was gone. He did not bother hugging his brother or faking his smile at him. He only greeted Sunghoon and said his goodbye.

Jin was driving his car when he saw Jungkook walking on the street. He was supposed to avoid him. He is mad at him. He continue drove past him but looked at him from his rearview mirror.

Jungkook then dropped himself on the ground and that's the last strand for Jin. He stopped the car and immediately ran to Jungkook.

"Hey, Kook, are you okay?"

"Jin! My Jin!" He said touching Jin's face. "I miss you. I miss you a lot but you're still mad at me."

"Come on. Get up. I'll take you to your house."

"No! That's a sad place. Take me to your house! That's my happy place." He said with slurred speech. He's obviously very drunk and the Jeon's might have told him to go home since he is too drunk.

"I can't take you to my place."

"Why not?" Jungkook said.

"I---I just can't." Jin said and helped Jungkook get up.

"I want you by my side always, Jin." He said repeatedly as Jin helped him ride his car.

He helped him buckled his seat belt and he smelt the strong scent of alcohol in him.

"Gosh! Why do I always have to take care of you when Jimin rejects you?" Jin said to him even though he knows Jungkook is too drunk to listen.

"He did not reject me. I rejected him!" Jungkook said with conviction.

"Whatever makes you sleep at night." Jin said and started driving his car.

He was parked outside their house but he can't take Jungkook inside. Not in his room. It's not his room anymore.

He breathes out and thought where he could bring Jungkook.

He thought of bringing him at the nearby hotel, just so he can let Jungkook rest for the night.

He drove until he saw the place he was looking for. It's not an expensive hotel but decent enough so that Jungkook can sleep. He has an early trip tomorrow so he should leave Jungkook in a safe place.

He left Jungkook resting at his car then booked a room.

The bell boy assisted him in bringing Jungkook up to the rented room. He took some of his clothes from his car then made sure that Jungkook's clothes will be changed. It's a usual thing for him because he always gets drunk whenever it's about Jimin. He just have to close his eyes when he changes Jungkook's clothes.

"I really don't get it why you always get drunk because of him."

"Not Jimin. I get drunk because of you." Jungkook said but of course he is drunk so he does not know what he was saying.

Jin just clicked his tongue.

"I miss my best friend. I miss you, Jin. Are you mad?" Jungkook asked with his eyes closed, and slurred speech still.

Jin stopped washing his arm with a towel. He looked at Jungkook seriously. He was sure that his drunken best friend will not remember anything tomorrow, as usual, so he decided to be honest with him.

"I miss you, too. I am mad at you but this will fade in time. My love for you means more than the anger I feel for you. I just hope you'll choose better in the future. My brother won't choose you, you are just a past time for him. Unless he completely divorced Sunghoon-hyung, I would believe he has feelings for you. But now, I am sure he is just playing with you.

I should not be saying this because he is my brother, but I care for you a lot. I hope you'll find happiness even if it's not with me."

"I know Jimin doesn't love me. I thought I am okay with that. However, I realized that I am not happy with him. He tried to reach out to me again before his husband's birthday, but I said no. Jin, I said no.

Jin, please don't leave me again."

Jin, breathe heavily, he didn't know what is happening to his friend but he held his hand and laid down beside him. For the last time, he wanted to hug him, and so he did.

Jungkook looked at him, as if all his drunkenness was gone. They looked at each other without saying a word.

They were so closed to each other, Jungkook hugging his waist while Jin's hands were hugging his neck. Jin can feel his breathing. He can feel Jungkook's eyes talk to him even without words from his mouth.

He is sincere.

That's another last strand cut.

Jin suddenly closed the gap and kissed Jungkook. He should not have kissed him but he did and it felt so amazing.

Jungkook was sure he is no longer drunk when he finally felt the cherry lips of Jin over his and he is sure he'll do it right.
