Chapter 20

After 1 year of moving to Singapore

Jungkook got home late after his duty at the hospital. He smiled as he opened the door to his apartment as he smelled the delicious aroma of the food being cooked by his boyfriend.

After dropping his things, he went straight to the kitchen and leaned on the wall while watching his boyfriend cook their dinner for the day. He is wearing his headset and humming a song, no wonder he did not hear Jungkook come in.

Jungkook decided to surprise his boyfriend as he suddenly backhugged him.

Yugyeom suddenly dropped the ladle he was holding.

"Oh my god!!! Jeon! Why did you even do that?!" He said slapping his boyfriend.

Jungkook leaned on to him and kissed his cheek after laughing. "That was fun!" He said to him.

"Don't you ever do that again." Yugyeom said, acting mad at Jungkook.

Seeing his sad face, Jungkook kissed him again before letting him go and picked up the ladle that dropped.

He washed it first before handing it over to Yugyeom.

They've been dating for 2 months already. It was kind of awkward at first as they were housemates for almost a year when Yugyeom admitted his feeling for him. Jungkook did not see anything wrong with them dating anyway as they were both single.

Yugyeom knows all the things that happened to Jungkook in Korea and why he decided to stay in Singapore for good. He is also sure that Jungkook will no longer look for Jimin and Seokjin as they were all parts of his past. He had a crush on Jungkook the moment he first saw him and he will be damned if he won't use their closeness to his advantage.

Jungkook is very kind and sincere. It took Yugyeom a lot to break his walls again and make him say yes, although, he's still not saying he loves him, but at least they are on the dating part. That is already enough for Yugyeom.

"I'll prepare the table." Jungkook said, kissing Yugyeom again on his cheek.

Yugyeom nodded and continue what he was cooking before Jungkook arrived.

While Jungkook was fixing the table, he received a message from one person he least expected to. He tried to reach out to this person when he was so down, but he got nothing.

Yugyeom saw him with an angry look on his face as he brought the meal to the dining.

"Work?" Yugyeom asked.

Jungkook immediately put his phone on his pocket then helped Yugyeom. "No, just a random message." He said. He then left Yugyeom at the dining area while he looked for the plates they will used.

Yugyeom looked at his retreating back, knowing full well that he is not telling the truth.

"Why did you want to meet?" Jungkook asked.

"I'll be here in 3 months for a seminar. I am already specializing."

"Good for you." Jungkook said with furrowed brows. "Is that all you wanted to say? You should have messaged me instead."

"I would but Seokjin wanted..."

"I've already moved on." Jungkook said.

"Listen..." Taehyung said, pulling something from his pocket but was stopped when Jungkook spoke again.

"I already have a boyfriend." He said then stood up leaving a payment for whatever he ordered. "I am happy you get to practice whatever you want. Please tell Jin I am also happy for him."

Taehyung wanted to run after him but he was faster.

He looked at the thing in his pocket and sighed. "I'm sorry, Jin." He said to himself while looking at the box with a promise ring.

Jungkook heard that name again. The name he never really wanted to hear for a long time. He already moved on but why does it hurts still?

He washed his face as soon as he arrived at the hospital and told himself that he has to focus on his work. Unfortunately, he was not able to do so. His mind was surrounded by Kim Seokjin until he decided to just go home and tell his superiors that he is not feeling well for the day. He really looked sick and he really got sick as he got home. He's not sure if it's just because of sudden stress, but as soon as he got home, he collapsed and Yugyeom had to call the ambulance to take him to the hospital.

Jin happily got home as he heard a lot of praises from his seniors on how he handles his surgeries. He handled a lot already and he was glad that the senior doctors are fond of him.

His smile faltered when he suddenly saw the person waiting at their apartment.

"Seokjin..."

"What are you doing here, Hyung?" He answered in a cold tone.

"I'm sorry I had to take your address from Eomma. I need to talk to you." He said with a very sad face.

Jin thought he looks thinner. He haven't seen him for more than a year and he did not expect to see him here.

"I want to be rude and not let you in but I guess you're still a family." Jin said as he opened the door.

Jimin smiled a little bit, and said a simple thank you to Jin.

"My housemates are not here today, but Namjoon-hyung will be back after his shift, which is probably after 4 hours. You can stay at the living room." He said coldly while pointing at the area.

Jimin nodded at him.

"I'll just shower and will get back to you." He said again, going straight to his room.

He checked his phone and that's the only time that he saw that it does not have battery anymore and his mom was trying to call him yesterday, multiple times and he just read all the messages she sent to him early today before she clocked out from work.

She simply said that Jimin wanted to talk to him and he's the only person he can trust. She did not have a choice but to give his address as he also worries about Jimin.

Seokjin sighed reading his mom's message. "I guess I have to deal with him again." He said before taking his towel and prepared himself for a warm, relaxing bath, before he faces his brother.
