Chapter 25

Jin got home to Busan to visit his parents and tell them about the good news on his specialization.

He was happily greeted by her mom as soon as he got home and his dad also made time for him. Taehyung was supposed to be with him but there was another class he has to attend for the day in the afternoon, for his specialization. He'll also be completing it in 3 weeks time, then in 2 months, Jin and Hoseok will start theirs.

"Seokjin, baby! It is so nice to see you again. You are getting more handsome." His mom said as he hugged him.

"Thank you, Eomma, and I'm doing fine."

"Good! Let's get inside. Your father is excited to see you! I bet you both have a lot of hospital surgeries to talk about that I can't relate anymore." His mother said with a roll of eyes, knowing how the dinner conversation will end as this is not the first time that Jin visited them.

"Seokjin-ah!!!" His father said and hugged him when he entered the living room. "I miss you son! Where is Taehyung?"

"Taehyung was busy finishing his specialization, he has another class this afternoon that's why he was not able to come." Jin explained.

His father nodded. "Why don't we have our dinner now? You must be exhausted from your trip. Let's go, hon." His dad said ushering both his son and his wife.

As they were eating, Mrs. Kim's phone rang so she had to leave Seokjin and his dad, while they talk about the recent cases Seokjin had.

"That was my last surgery this week, Appa. In 3 weeks I will be preparing for my specialization and I already got my schedule." Jin said happily.

His father smiled at him."Hm, are you planning on surprising me about your specialization? You haven't said anything to me yet. I called Dr. Kim and he said he's not going to spill anything."

Jin smiled at him. "Let's wait for Eomma. I want her to be here." Jin said biting on his chopsticks while smiling at his father.

His mom went back at the dining table. "Sorry, that was Jimin. He said he won't be back home tonight." His mom said.

"He stays here?" Jin asked, scared that he'll encounter his brother.

"Yes, but don't worry. Whenever he goes out I am sure he won't be home as well. He might be home tomorrow afternoon. That is why I did not tell you about him." His mom explained.

His father sighed and that made Jin curious.

"Was his divorced with Sunghoon finalized?"

It was time for Jin's mom to sigh. She shook her head. "He did not want to sign it. Sunghoon let him but he never slept with your brother anymore but still gives him allowances. We tried hard to tell him to start working so that he can also start on his own. Sunghoon is happy with his current partner, and Jimin just go about on different places with different people."

"Oh." Jin simply reacted.

"We've expected more than this from him. But maybe we've expected too much. Maybe, it's actually our fault." His father said. He saw how his mother squeezed his father's hand, with an obvious disappointment in both their faces.

"I expected when he talked to you, you'll be able to help him out, but he came back worse. We even scheduled therapy for him but he ditched each one of them. We just can't... like... leave him. He's gone mad." His mother said looking down.

Jin did not know this is what is happening. If he only knew that Jimin will bring this much pain to them, he should have talked to him that time he visited him.

"Let's not focus on someone who is not here. Why don't you tell us your chosen specialization?" His father asked trying to smile to lighten up the situation.
