Chapter 10

Jin did not know what to do but he was sure he does not want anyone to see him and he wants to be gone. He wants to be very far from his brother and from Jungkook. This one is real. He heard them in their own house.

Jin ran but when he got downstairs, he bumped to someone.

He looked at the person and when he realized it was Taehyung, he suddenly felt his tears down his face.

"Oh my god, Jin. Are you okay?" Taehyung asked.

Jin shook his head. "I want to be far away from here." He said.

"I'll get my keys. Let's go somewhere." Taehyung said. He pulled his coat from the rack hugged Jin's shoulder as the latter seemed so weak already while crying.

He helped him ride his car and made him wear the seatbelt.

"Where do you wanna go?" Taehyung asked.

"Far from Jungkook." Jin said.

That's when Taehyung realized what happened. With Jungkook and Jimin both gone from their table earlier, he was sure what his cousin was up to. He's also not blind, he knows how Jin looks at Jungkook and the jealousy is obvious whenever he sees him looking at his brother.

"I'll take you far tonight but I'll take you back here tomorrow morning." He said then drove the car somewhere while Jin was just staring blankly outside while his tears just kept on flowing down.

"Where's Jin and Tae-hyung?" Jungkook asked when he went downstairs seeing Hoseok and Yoongi only.

Hoseok clicked his tongue. He is obviously not happy seeing Jungkook, then followed by Jimin.

"We have to go, Jungkook. Thank you for welcoming us, Jimin-ssi. Jin and Taehyung went out for a while. They should be back here by morning." Yoongi said because it's obvious that Hoseok won't say anything good.

Taehyung called him earlier saying that Jin was suddenly not feeling good. Hoseok knew right away what was happening. There were clues all around. The secret stares of Jimin and Jungkook and the reason of Jimin why he wanted to be left and the sudden reason of Jungkook, but he never came back, they are so obvious. Jimin is obviously cheating on his husband with Jungkook, whom he knows well that his brother liked since they were children.

Hoseok walked past them without even saying goodnight.

"Wait, where did Hyung and Jin go?" Jungkook asked Hoseok.

"You claim Jin too much but never knew when you are really putting his life in line." He answered Jungkook.

"W-what? What do you mean by that?" Jungkook said, confused and quite mad at Hoseok's response.

"Nothing. Ask your pervy boyfriend, he might know where his brother is." Hoseok said then pulled Yoongi outside.

Jungkook was shocked. He didn't know that Hoseok was aware of them. He looked at Jimin and saw his face got pale.

"Jimin, are you alright?" He asked immediately going to his side.

"H-he knows... t-they know... w-what if t-they t-ell Sunghoon." He said with his hands shaking.

"They won't." Jungkook said hugging Jimin. "I'll make sure they won't tell anyone. I will talk to them."

"Do you think Jin knows?"

"I am not sure, honestly. I'll call hyung and Jin. Why don't we go upstairs? You need to rest. I'll help you rest."

"N-no! Don't come near me." Jimin said pushing Jungkook.

"Jimin..."

"No! They should not be right. They should not see us together. Go home! I'll handle myself. Don't meet me for now." Jimin said then ran to his room.

Jungkook was stunned but when he realized what is happening, he pulled his hair. "fuck!" he said to himself.

"Wear this, it's cold." Taehyung said, covering Jin's shoulder with a blanket.

"What is this place?" Jin asked.

Taehyung kept on driving earlier until he remembered where he would usually go when he is sad. It's like the top of the nearby hill. You can see clearly the lights of Busan from the place where he took Jin. He also has camping seats on his car so he told Jin they can stay outside for the night. He also took the blanket that he always carries and made sure that Jin is not cold.

"Jungkook and I usually play here the first time we got here. This place made me realize that I can reach a lot of things even though they were so high. If you'll look down, you'll see Busan. From that place, you'll see this hill and it looks unreachable.

Let me tell you some things about me.

When my parents died and his parents adopted me, I was also forced to move here. I did not want to be a burden for them so I made sure to get scholarships in Seoul from highschool to college. I always wanted to be a doctor because I have seen how my mother suffered from illness and then my father had a heart attack when she died. I thought, maybe, if I'm a doctor, I'll be able to help them. I should have been able to heal them.

Whenever I look down, I can see all the lights like hope and stars you see from above. But I feel like I am above them. I feel like I can be above them all. I can do all things because I can be higher than the lights below.

I have reached my dream to become a doctor. I am above and higher than the lights you see below. But, my parents are like the stars. No matter what I do I can't reach them. However high I try, it's not something I can touch.

Seokjin, you are still young. You can cry all you want but do not waste your time on a light that you can see above and can't reach. You can always be above some lights and try to reach things that can be reached. You can reach your dreams if you just focus on it and be above some lights. Stop wasting your time on unreachable stars."

Jin looked at him. He got sad about Taehyung's parents, but he realized that Taehyung was right. If you focus on your goals, you will reach them and can even be higher than your goal. His goal is to make his parents proud, but when he decided to stay in Busan, his parents got disappointed.

He looked at the lights again.

Did his goal change? Did he really want to be beside Jungkook's? Jungkook is the star, he understood that. He can't be reached because he doesn't want to be reached.

His thoughts were disrupted when Taehyung's phone rang.

Taehyung looked at his phone and grimaced when he saw who was calling. He then ended the call and turned off his phone.

"Jungkook's calling. I'm sure he's looking for us. Would you like us to go back now?"

"No. I want to be far away from him from now on." Jin said.
